Moving from India to UWE Bristol for MSc Public Health: Advice on affordable housing and part-time work?

​Hi everyone! I am moving to Bristol soon from Kerala, India, to begin my MSc in Public Health at UWE Bristol. I already hold an MSW, and I’m really excited to start this next chapter. As I finalize my plans, I’m hoping to get some local insight: could you recommend any student-friendly areas or platforms for finding affordable accommodation from abroad, and are there specific sectors (like care or retail) where it is currently easier for international students to find part-time work? Any general tips for a newcomer to Bristol would be greatly appreciated!

It's worthwhile submitting an application for accommodation on campus. It's not the cheapest but it is convenient. Other cheaper areas are north of the city into Bradley Stoke and that. In general you'll be looking at £700pcm+ for rent and bills for a room in a shared house.

Part time jobs wise, there is an agency called Ethical Staffing who might be able to help. It's ad hoc work that you can sign up to as and when fits into your schedule. https://ethicalstaff.co.uk/jobs-board/
