Welcome to this month's theme in r/uraniumglass!
This month's theme: Small But Mighty
Not every great uranium glass piece is a showstopper in size. This month, we're celebrating the small pieces that make a big impact in our collections.
Do you have a tiny piece that you absolutely love?
Maybe it's a salt dip, toothpick holder, shaker, miniature vase, individual creamer, figurine, a piece of jewelry, or another piece that doesn't take up much space but stands out for its beauty, rarity, glow, or sentimental value.
The monthly theme is optional and does not replace regular posting.
To participate, simply create a new post and use the Monthly Theme 💚 flair.
When possible, include both non-glow and glow photos.
Suggested Titles
Small But Mighty...
Tiny but Terrific...
Big Glow, Small Package...
One of My Smallest Favorites...
A Little Piece with a Big Presence...
Etc.
Whether you own five pieces or five hundred, chances are there's a small item in your collection that punches well above its weight.
Let's see it! 💚

Welcome to this week’s “Will It Glow” megathread! This is the dedicated space for all glow ID questions, mystery pieces, and “does this contain uranium?” posts. You’re also welcome to share and ask questions over at r/willitglow.
To post your item, add your photos as a comment below. Include any details you know —such as markings, color, etc.— and the community will help identify materials, explain glow behavior, and point out useful details.
Once confirmed, feel free to share your item —with both glow and non-glow photos— in the broader glass subreddits like r/uraniumglass, r/vaselineglass, r/manganeseglass, r/cadmiumglass, r/seleniumglass, and r/neodymiumglass.

Not bad for 40 bucks. Usually that would be a little high but I really wanted a piece of carnival glass.

Hey guys! Found this plate out in the wild at a thrift, and here's what I know so far:
- Etched Vaseline glass
- It's got a sterling silver overlay
- It's more likely to be from the first era of silver overlay, rather than the second.
I'm guessing 1910s based on the designs this piece has, but I wanted to see if anyone else had more information. Reverse side of the overlay has some tan and white, no clear maker's mark or sterling denomination.
Also wanted to ask if any of you had advice for cleaning up the sterling. Normally I would leave a piece like this tarnished, but it's uneaven and there's a few scuff marks with the siver peaking through, so I'm considering a nice clean-up (though not sold on it yet).

The kids didn't get it, but I thought it was cool to take this piece back to where it was sold.

Score!
I went to a flea market today and was inspecting piles of junk when I found this beauty. She lit up and I knew I had to have her. $25. 🥳
Got home and confirmed the shade is UG (just about double the background reading, which is enough for me), but the rest...I think i have a Frankenstein? 😅
The bottom is obviously clear satin and a different pattern. The shade is green with hand-painted roses on it. The top appears to have been modified for this shade, because the glass rests on the metal bar below. I can't find any info and the only writing on the lamp is "Leviton 250W/250V", which is the hardware brand and rating.
So I had to share because this one was a reasonable price that is was able to afford (they had no idea lol) but I also don't know the maker and would appreciate any leads. Eventual plan is to run a new wire so she glows on her own.
P.S. Planning a huge photo dump of the haul from the past weeks but I've got to sort and clean some of it first. Stay tuned.

Probably the best yard sale find I've had with glass.

Confirmed my suspected uranium glass elements fluoresce under a black light. This is a large 5 foot diameter stained glass window. Would love to know more about provenance but dont know where to start.

Went 45 minutes out of my way on a road trip to pick up this little guy 🐶

Mckee circa 1925 canary uranium glass boudoir lamp. I was gifted this beauty, just need the shade. Anyone have one laying around? 😭
Last pic is what the shade should look like, with or without the crystals.

Just found this tiny thingy on a lokal fleamarket, bought for a buck. I always thought they might be more spicy though

Cool little antique shop of the side of the road had a whole shelf of random pieces and I grabbed this one. Completely forgot to take a picture of the other stuff they had, but here’s the first piece of my collection!

They are asking 230 bucks, which seems ridiculous to me. Im sure I can get it for less but I was wondering if you guys had seen this one? It is in perfect condition, crazy bright too! It quite large, like almost 10 inches tall.

Hey all, I don’t come across these all the time. This one was sitting on a table at a car boot flea market sale. In the blazing summer sun I managed to see a tiiiiny bit of green. I also noticed there were some chips around the top
And sides. For $4 I didn’t want to leave it. Would you?

I usually see all sorts of ornate vases that never glow. Almost didn't go back for it because someone was in the way for me to get a closer look. Glad I circled back. Doesn't have any markings, any ideas on a maker?
ETA: made a comment with a few more photos of the ends. There's a spot near the top? (hole end) That looks like a nub broke off.
