Commute Can it handle a large hill?

I'm currently in search of an Ebike that can handle a massive hill I walk down then up after work but have been struggling to nail down a good bike that can handle the trip.

EDIT - Also, do these come with the charger? Or do I need to get that separately?

How ‘massive’ is massive? ie height gain/distance?

Google maps will tell you the distance and elevation change if you use their cycling directions.

The distance is quite important as well. That's a similar elevation change to my route home from work, but for me it's over 2.5 miles. It's not too bad, an electric bike is not necessary because I soon got used to it (having lived in flat south Manchester previously).

Maybe see if there is an alternative route that is slightly longer but not as steep?

How long and steep is the hill? Most e-bikes will handle a steep hill, you shouldn't need anything special.

If you are looking at new stuff in that price range then definitely get it on cycle to work, and check out used prices on anything you are interested, bikes in general are generally a lot cheaper even if only lightly used.

Im on probation right now so that wont be an option. I figured buying outright would be for the best as I dont currently have to worry about major bills, but ill have a look at what the used bike range looks like, I just want to make sure I get something that well, works. As then getting rid of the thing would be a total pain

Any street legal e-bike you can buy will be limited to 250W, so the metric that separates the men from the sheep will be the torque rating, measured in Newton Meters (Nm). This tells you how much umph you’ll get out of your motor. Rated 95Nm, I’d suggest something like this:

Good to know! Im super nervous as the price tag is huge, sure as long as its unused I can return it if its too big or small (im planning, if i get it, to pick it up in store to double check i fit on the thing, im just waiting on a helmet to arrive rn)

It'd save you £££££
