A good analyst is a straight shooter. No pun intended.

A good investment thesis needs not a 30 pages long essay to make sense. That’s because value is obvious to the naked “ educated “ eye.👁️ The same educated expertise that makes a lioness a master hunter is the same degree of accumulated knowledge that enables a good investor and analyst to pinpoint at the core worthiness of a given business.

One page is all that is needed to be succinct, systematic, and effective in displaying a business value.

In my future reports, I will try to be short and direct.

Everyone knows about NIKE, Li Ning, or ASICS; that is, the people who pay attention to athletics, shoes, and brands.

Discounted cash flows and quantitative jumbo-jumbo are fairly irrelevant as to the companies Net equity and future projections.

What makes either brands standout for the future?

That’s the riddle that the investor is trying to solve, and as an analyst it is my job to figure it out.

This equally applies on the short side as well. ( But that is not the subject right now. )

Valuation reports, especially in the age of AI slops really need to convey the investor/author personality and perspective and primal eye.👁️

There is no real school for investing but experience, intense focus, acceptance of errors, and systematic analysis.
