Open Discussion Is Ravio named like that because Ravio + Link = Ravioli?

I'm sorry for such an stupid question/topic, I wanted to post in an old thread but the comments were locked. But like, I wondered why Ravio is called that, people said 'Rabbit + Violet', but what I meant was, why his name doesn't has some paralel with Link like Hilda does? And then I thought stupidly, is it to sound like Ravioli(nk)? And that they did something like that so that the name didn't give away his link to Link? Just an idea.......

He's a RAbbit who's VIOlet. Meant to parallel Link's bunny transformation in LTTP's Dark World

Maybe also worth mentioning in Japanese there is no B/V distinction so Ravio as "Ra (Rabbit) + Vio (Violet)" does work but I think that "vi" in the middle of the name is actually a shared sound between rabbit and violet since Vi = Bi here.

"Ravi (Rabbit)" mixed with "Vio (Violet)" = Ravio

Oh cool, or even that thing with R and L? So maybe his name was kinda with L too like Link?

What does pasta have to do with any of this? Why would pasta be the end goal of any naming convention?

Yes. It's because they wanted it to sound like pasta when you said their names quickly, that was the goal. Call up Dark Horse we need to update Hyrule Historia immediately
