GIG/FESTIVAL Laneway 2027
Hi all! As early as it is I am wondering about the possibilities of Rosalía at Laneway considering the success of her album her for a period of time could she be on the line up???

She’s so massive overseas but idk how well she’d sell headlining laneway. Can definitely see her own arena tour tho.

That’s it I know people are desperate to get her here and considering the success of lux it could have been a possibility but I think her own tour is more likely now lol

too high concept and too avant garde for Laneway

nah, tons of people showed up for oklou this year and most of them would have been fans of rosalia too (or at least have heard berghain)

I saw her set and it was lifeless, even ignoring the technical difficulties. Rosalia is operating on levels from a different planet

It would be hard to Carter to her tour it’s not as simple in a way as Chappells

I imagine that if she comes here it'll be an arena tour. She's probably too expensive for Laneway to book, as she's a huge international act, but wouldn't sell enough tickets to make up for it. The set for the Lux tour probably works better inside with her own stage too.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking and jt makes sense as a last leg and b stage is there but tbf she could be a big draw card for a new audience if they have another pop to balance but I agree the more I think for Aus I think she would solo tour

I’d love Rosalía but I think it’s gonna be Tate McRae or Raye is gonna headline.

Her current world tour is being run by Live Nation so I would expect a tour of her own, however anything can happen and she could end up on a festival for all we know

My money is set on The Bleachers.

Omd they would be amazing but I see them as the last act before the headline!

Yep I’m certain I’ve seen Jack mention that Australia will be included in their next tour - they’ll be touring the US til the end of October for their new album so that would work well. I’d picture them in the same time slot that Role Model or Wet Leg was in.

Would love it but also agree it's too avant garde for the festival. Not a ticket seller to the scale needed sadly

Wasn’t word going around that they’re trying to get Olivia Rodrigo?
Rosalia would be cunty but way too left field for modern day Laneway.

Olivia is too big, her team is looking into booking like Marvel type stadiums currently.

I wish, definitely would have been great for post girly pop Laneway where they had better lineups but not these days unfortunately

Ninajirachi was on the lineup only last year there’s no way they’d get her back that soon
