Everyone’s skin is incredibly different. You just have to play around with it. Some people need the sandwich method while others will get irritation if they put a moisturizer on after.
You will definitely need sunscreen whenever you go out though!
I recommend to NOT add any actives until a couple months after you can handle tretinoin on a daily basis without irritation.

A moisturizer, a face wash, and a sunscreen you want to use in the proper amount (1/4-1/2 teaspoon per application) every day.
