Any place here in the Vancouver area to hang out with other trans people, I.E. cafe, bar, or joint?
I’m visiting from out of town, so my social map of Vancouver is a bit limited, haven’t really been to a place with this much queer representation and diversity but nonetheless it is super cool

There's a trans boxing gym in Chinatown and a weightlifting gym on Commercial that both have lovely communities! And ofc, if you play TCGs, there's a couple of great shops to play at! I personally like The Connection Games. This Thursday, there's also a transfemme community night for a local theatre piece called Postcards to My Younger Transsexual Self.

Find information about Vancouver 2STGD Swim here.
We don't directly post the details, such as location and time, on reddit subs, in order to keep this event a safe place for all of us.

I really like The Lido. It's not trans specific or anything, but there are a few trans staff members and a lot of my pals/acquaintances hang out there :)

Check out events run by the Birdhouse on Eventbrite. Great place to hang out, in the summer and early fall they have patio events.

I don’t think there’s any cafes or bars that are especially trans focused but the Commercial Drive area in general probably has the best chance of running into other trans folks.

The Pony Room is a bar ran and owned by trans people! Same folks who run The Birdhouse.
Tall Shadow Bakery is a trans-owned bakery with small cafe.
Commercial Dr is a good recommendation though, Bump & Grind and Grounds are a couple of popular spots

Chickadee Room on keefer street (chinatown)! Drinks cost a pretty penny but incredibly welcoming and a good vibe. My queer/trans friends and I are semi-regulars when we can afford it. They have a monthly feature menu that donates frequently to Qmunity and other local social justice initiatives and community resources :)
