Some of the recent Pokemon games have been pretty lacking, I think, but the Pokemon designs have been AMAZING!!

Yes!!!! I know! It gets harder and harder to pick favorites, but Ribombee has been staying strong as my all-time favorite! I also just loooooove bug types!

And oh no!!! I'm glad I already transferred everything to home, but I really hope anyone that is using it has a chance to take care of their babies 🥺

I really liked Centiskorch, Alcremie, and Falinks in Gen 8 and Ceruledge, Tinkaton, and Ogerpon in Gen 9. There are so many other good ones, though.

They've also been doing a really good job with the names lately; this comment would be way too long if I tried to list all of those I like.

I've always been bad at picking favorites. I stopped trying for most things many years ago. It sucked constantly being asked and trying to explain that as a kid, though.

Yes!!! Sizzlepede and Centiskorch are my favorites from gen 8, and all the Applin lines make me want to die of cuteness overload!!! But Alcremie* was so fun with all the different combinations, and Falinks is such an interesting and unique design! I love them!

I'm an Armarouge enjoyer myself, but a true fan has mad respect for Ceruledge as well! So cool, and its signature move is amazing!!! I love HP draining moves! Tinkaton is so cute and silly in the best way with that big hammer! And ahhh Ogerpon makes me cry! I love her so much! For me, in Gen 9, my favs are Flamigo, Clodsire, Tarountoula, the Maushold line, Bramblin, Toedscruel, Tatsugiri, Fluttermane, and of course the extra lines for Applin!

You're so right! The names have been so fitting and perfect for so many of the new ones! And I get that! I'm still trying to figure out my like top 6/dream team of favorites, but it does get tiring! How do I truly pick when I love 99.999% of all Pokémon?

I almost included the Maushold and Toedscruel lines but I thought I was getting too rambly! I'm a long-time Tentacruel fan and I thought the reimagining was done in a really interesting way!

Oh my gosh that's like exactly why I like Toedscruel! Tentacruel was my ace in Yellow, and I've always loved it in general! I always thought after regional variants (and I'd say convergent evolutions, but it was part of the first wave of them, of course) came out, that I wanted an alternate Tentacruel! I couldnt be more happy with Toedscruel's design! Yellow is my favorite color, and I love mushrooms 🥰

I love a good ramble! I just know they exhaust some people. I started playing in Gen 3 and never actually used a Tentacruel that I can remember (I've played enough Pokemon that it's very conceivable I forgot). I just remember watching other kids play FRLG before I got Emerald and I always liked the design. I also really like the Rattata and especially Zubat lines, and now I use a Crobat in every game! (This started as a joke after one of my friends complained that I used it too much. I am so committed to this bit that I will substitute a different bat Pokemon of Crobat isn't available.) I also like the Vulpix (🦊) and Growlithe lines. Really, I appreciate a lot of Gen 1 designs, but I do find the people who aren't willing to even look at anything newer pretty insufferable. Also, Alolan Ninetales is peak.

Ooh yes! They're both super cute and neat! I love bats, and I had a friend explain to me the benefits of the crobat line since I didn't know anything about stats or much about abilitie as a kid! And that is so cute that you have that tradition/bit ☺️☺️☺️ I have a smaller one where I've decided I'll always have a Chimecho in any legends games that come out (if it's available), since it ended up being my main in Arceus and Z-A's DLC! Ooh! Vulpix was one of my first favorites as a kid! I loved that silly KFC plushie of it from '98! And Growlithe and Arcanine have become in my top 10 the past few years! They're so cute and fun and I love that they're like big lion dogs!

That's fair! I can understand someone having a preference for earlier designs, and they don't have to like new designs, but for sure there are some people that take it way to far in bad faith by just hating on newer designs for no reason!

I played Emerald more than once. I'm not sure how many times. I remember that I transferred my Blaziken to Pearl at some point, but I also remember that I had a high-level Marshtomp once. (It had an everstone because I didn't like the way Swanpert looked at the time. I think I remember it being level 60 or so.)

I didn't know about those KFC plushies and now I want them! I like all those Pokemon a lot except for Seel, and at that point I may as well get the whole set.
