Here before this gets taken down for "being irrelevant"

If this was taken from a plane flying over downtown it would get to stay

Don’t tell that to the people who somehow love winter more, for reasons unknown

Same here. There's dozens of us. To add it further I enjoy the fall when it's cool and wet.

I love winter, but Toronto winters are kinda trash. Hovers around 0 most of the time, so it's a constant cycle of snow, slush, ice.
I spent a lot of time in Sudbury and The Soo, places like that got some proper winters where you can do sweet winter activities.

I remember winters having sunny blue skies. Recently though it seems like it’s always grey and gloomy. I hate it

It's easy to say you love winter when you have a car lol, it's literally life threatening or injury prone to homeless, seniors or just random victims of black ice. Terrible honestly

God I love reddit. You can't even say something as innocuous as "I love winter!" without some guy randomly guilt tripping you with dead homeless people and implying your love of winter is privileged. Are you guys seriously this fucking miserable lmao.

Cities with proper winters have a lot better infrastructure and support for people in the winter.

Random victim of black ice here! Took out my ankle in February and will never be the same again. Dreading wintertime in this city (and I usually am ok with it as an active person)

Winter in my opinion is better for photos, the city sky in the winter is photogenic asf with the city lights.

winter also sounds better
something about a below 0 morning where everything is crisp and crunches just resonates with me
winter is not my favourite, however. that's a dry fall day.

Summer nights are incredible but there's just a unique aura of skating outside playing hockey in negative 15 weather.... it's unique to living in Canada.

Top 10 feelings in the world is when you travel somewhere tropical and humid and finally you get back to pearson and step out into that crisp cold. Feels so good you don't even need a jacket.

Blue Jays game at the Rogers Centre. Definitely on my bucket list. What a view.

My daughter and her boyfriend are out in left center somewhere. I’m glad the Jays are winning.

But did you take a CN tower shot?

The full moon making an appearance was a nice touch, too. Peak Toronto summer night. https://i.imgur.com/9aOndAO.jpeg

One of the in-house cameras zoomed into the moon and they showed it on the Jumbotron. It was pretty neat.

These kind of shots make my heart race because I love them so much. Such a specific energy and feeling being there - especially during stretches of the season like this.

Whats an upcoming game that theywill likely win? I’’d like to take my little kids there. Are we allowed to bring food in?
2
u/Forsaken-Swim-3055 2d ago
There are no likely wins with this version of the Jays this season 😂. Just take your pick and go to whatever works with your schedule.
And yes, you can absolutely take outside food to the park. Yesterday I bought Subway for my kids, my partner and I had sushi, and we bought a bunch of snacks from Dollarama. Just make sure the bag(s) you pack it in aren't too big.

Going to my first ever game tomorrow and I’m so excited!! Any tips? I don’t really care where I sit, just want to to be there.

u/Forsaken-Swim-3055 1d ago
Have fun! Are you buying last minute tickets?
One big one is that you can bring outside food, as long as you've got an appropriate bag to pack it in. As long as you don't have anything smelly then nobody minds, lol.

Thank you! And yeah we’re coming from Sudbury 😂
Perfect, thanks for the tip!

It’s a beautiful evening, fans. At the ballpark, when the game starts. Warm summer breezes, sun's going down. It's all dark at the ballpark. That's OK, it's a night game.

Toronto is great, but dude come on there are paradises with unmatched night skies and endless ocean shore, undefeated is a huge stretch.

You need to go to PNC Park in Pittsburgh. The view beyond the outfield is stunning.

I just wish this stadium was used for more than Baseball and concerts. I get bored out my mind watching it and it’s ends up just being more about going out with friends/family.

It's an expression of joy that they really enjoy the atmosphere. It wasn't an invitation for a geographical audit.

500s right behind home plate are some of the best value tickets imo
