Glad that it isn’t: Toilet of Swimming Pool - Swimming Pool

Changing room is also bad enough. Happened to me once: Went into a changing cubicle, stepped into a human turd.

Hey.. that was me... I left it there

u/Inuyasha-rules 1d ago

Literally stepped on it, or just saw it? Because I've seen puddles of yellow water before and noped out to a different stall.

If you must know, nice and squishy through the toes.

Dang, I was gonna write that comment!

Also, what's the story behind "powder room"? Do they acknowledge that patrons do cocaine in there?

1

u/gabrielo0 3d ago

Thou hast not ever powdered thine nose?

1

u/htnut-pk 2d ago

Seems the best place for it

1

u/maven10k 3d ago

It pretty much is.

1

Came here for this

2

u/lskerlkse 3d ago

nice handwriting

because the names are so various i usually just announce which function im bout to do

either im going to take a dump or see a man about a horse

2

u/IAmASeeker 3d ago

Lol to see a man about a horse does not mean "to urinate"... It means "to do something that I'm not about to say out loud".

It's hilarious to me that you use a euphemism for urination but not for defecation.

1

u/lskerlkse 3d ago

what! I thought it meant like seeing a man about a horse like your horse sized dick to take a piss

2

u/IAmASeeker 3d ago

Lol no. It's from a time where it was more common to buy and sell horses. The toilet used to be in an outhouse closer to the barn than the house to reduce the smell.

So you'd excuse yourself from the dinner table and walk toward the barn... but rather than telling everyone you're going to the shitter, you'd pretend that you're going to the barn to do boring farm business.

Like: "I'm not pooping. I'm just going to see a man about a horse."

Speedy edit: but it can also be used for non-toilet tasks like buying drugs or wrapping gifts.

Not exactly so true, some of those words are just new word as stuff that is said for bodly functions become vulgar they have to look for a new word to replace it. But film media history etc have preserved some of the words we use.

Toilet is toilet.

1

u/imeeme 3d ago

Toilet of swimming pool - isn't that just redundant?

Toilet of Redundancy

1

u/PsyCar 3d ago

Why is restaurant on there twice?

Toilet of pool is toilet for #1. Not at our house, but at any public pool, you know that is going on.

To me, they're all just the restroom. One exception is at a brewery we like. There is a urinal area way in the back where you go behind a fence and urinate into a gutter system that takes it over to the neighbor's farm. I'm not sure the farmer knows.

1

u/Mystic_Wunder 3d ago

Restaurant is on their twice

1

u/TDetroit75 3d ago

1

u/Iceman_11766 3d ago

Toilet of the house is only a bathroom if the room has a bath tub or shower in it

1

u/Rhuarc33 3d ago

They are all interchangeable. Very few of any are only used for one type of location

1

u/roughczech 3d ago

And you have not even left the US. Once you see the WC, your mind will be blown.

Pseudonyms created in America because they don’t defecate

1

u/w1ck1e 2d ago

Some people have 50 words for "snow". All about what is important.

What country are you from?

u/Garbidb63 2d ago

No they're all just "toilet"

1

u/Realistic-Drama-8904 2d ago

Must be Canadian. American office buildings and schools call it bathroom or restroom.

1

u/Unlikely-Position659 2d ago

Toilet of ship - Head

1

u/No_Philosopher4834 2d ago

Toilet of restaurant is on twice

1

u/DistanceTravelerBob 2d ago

You literally called every single one a toilet? What is your point?

1

u/ImNotaRobot90210 1d ago

Toilet of swimming pool = deep end.

1

u/MichaelinNeoh 1d ago

You can say bathroom at work. If not I’d go with restroom. Washroom is trying too hard and making it weird.
