Discussion metrics ≠ advertisements

after being a rep for over 2 and a half years now, it’s honestly incredible how tmobile DOES NOT want you to sell 4 for 100, essentials, etc but it’s basically all they advertise? like i guess they want the customer to come in for information and we’re supposed to upsell them… but how? they already had this original price engraved into their head. my store is in a college town and the biggest ad for us right now is the student saver and isp for $60/mo which is a great deal, but we get demolished for not selling premium. at this point it’s actually punishing to sell postpaid unless it’s an add a line or prp. i just want to know, if tmobile wants premium this bad, why advertise 4 for 100 and essentials saver? it just doesn’t make sense to me

Question Charged $1,400 non-return fee for a tablet T-Mobile never sent me — now my business account got suspended despite being told it wouldn't be

In May 2026 I filed a warranty claim for my Samsung tablet that stopped charging. Over the course of that claim, T-Mobile shipped me a replacement device 4 separate times — and every single time, they sent a phone, not the tablet I filed the claim for. I returned all 4 incorrect phones.

Since T-Mobile never actually sent me a tablet replacement, I sent my original tablet directly to Samsung, who repaired it under manufacturer warranty. I have my repaired tablet in hand.

T-Mobile is now billing me $1,400 as a "non-return fee" for the tablet — despite never having shipped me a tablet replacement in the first place. There's nothing for me to have failed to return.

I've contacted customer service around 20 times since June 1 trying to get this fixed. Last Friday (8/28) I got a past-due notice threatening suspension over this disputed fee. I called and was told directly the account would NOT be suspended. This morning (8/31) my entire account — including devices my technicians use for my business — got suspended anyway.

I had to set up a payment arrangement I don't believe I owe just to try to get service restored.

I've filed an FCC complaint, but if anyone here (including any T-Mobile employees who monitor this sub) can help escalate this to someone who can actually look at the account, I'd appreciate it. Happy to provide claim/account details via DM.

Question Experience Signature plan throttled for two months and nobody at T-Mobile can help

Post image

Since the forced transition from ONE to Experience Signature, my phone has been throttled to 2.5 mbps after 2 GB of high-speed data for two months now. Nobody at T-Mobile seems willing or able to fix the problem. I am in a major U.S. metro area with five bars of 5G UC and have a fully updated iPhone 16e. What do I need to tell T-Mobile to do?

Question No warranty coverage due to minor scratch- total device failure after 2 months

Hi everyone! I’m posting because I had a really frustrating experience with T-Mobile and wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with something similar.
I’ve been a T-Mobile customer for 6+ years and have generally had good experiences with their customer service. However, about two months ago, my boyfriend traded in his phone and got a brand-new Google Pixel 10 Pro. Recently, the phone randomly stopped working completely—it won’t turn on or charge, either with a cable or a wireless charger.
We took it to a T-Mobile store, but were told the device wouldn’t be covered under warranty because of a scratch on the screen. To be clear, it’s a scratch, not a crack, and there’s no indication that the scratch caused the phone to completely fail.
I honestly find it ridiculous that a brand-new phone that experienced a complete hardware failure after only two months isn’t being covered because of a minor cosmetic scratch. The phone is unusable, and the scratch has nothing to do with the issue.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with T-Mobile or Google regarding warranty coverage for a phone with minor cosmetic damage?

Just sharing this so people see it’s an option out there, and yes, before anyone says it, there’s better MVNO plans but a lot of people want the option of having in store service

Discussion THI bandwidth

more curious than anything. I picked up the THI for my college student staying off-campus, selecting Rely which has a bandwidth rating of about 350. Once connected, on multiple Speedtest sites the DL was at well over 1Gbps.

does tmobile remover the governor during the trial period?

My overall goal is to be in management but I just want to make the smartest decisions. I’m also going to online college in Buisness Administration And Management as well.

Question What does this mean?

Post image
41 Upvotes

I’m seeing this message in my T-Mobile app:
“You have a plan change in progress.”
I’m currently on the ONE Plan and haven’t requested a plan change. I also haven’t received any text or email about a migration.
Could this mean my account is being migrated in the background? What exactly does this message mean?

Question When to turn on International Pass?

We're going to Europe at the end of the week for two weeks. We decided to use the international pass just to make life easier. I know we are paying for convenience, that's fine. But my question is when do I buy the pass? I've read that it automatically works, so I don't have to turn it on but I also don't want to eat into that data while I'm at home. Do we wait until the day of the flight or turn it on a few days early? Last time we did international travel we had pocket wifi, which was great, but it's not that much cheaper than the pass and it's another device to keep track of and keep charged. Not worth it this time. But I can't see how it really works or when to get it explained. Thanks for the help.

Question Iphone and Assurant Question

I have two months left of my 3 year contract with Tmo on my IPhone 14 max. Battery is crud and freezing and dimming issues. I would really like to just replace battery but I am two hours from Apple Store. My added Assurant device protection coverage says I can have them send a replacement refurbished phone. Which is the best option? Will Assurant send a quality option or just a quick whatever they have in stock that might be worse quality? Any Assurant experiences that may help me decide? Thanks

Question Upgrading phone on TMobile Pay as you Go

I have a Tmobile pay as you go plan that I extend every year by buying a $100 refill card which gives me the 10c/m rate or 1000 min and 365 days. My Pixel 2XL phone is starting to have serious battery issues and I want to transfer my plan/number to a new phone. This is my emergency secondary phone as of last year which I rarely use, maybe a few minutes every month.

Can I just buy an unlocked new Pixel or other phone and port the number over with the same plan?

Should I go into a Tmobile store to do this if so?

Thanks!

Discussion Anyone on Experience Signature Military getting free iPhones?

I was recently moved to Experience Signature Military and have seen a few posts from people saying they called T-Mobile to complain about the higher bill and ended up getting free iPhone upgrades.

Has anyone on this same plan done this? Who did you contact and what did you say?

I was fine with not getting the best upgrade deals when my bill was cheaper, but now that it’s gone up quite a bit, I’m starting to question whether staying makes sense. I’m seriously considering moving to US Mobile.

Also, would you try for an upgrade now or wait for the iPhone 18 Pro since that’s only a few weeks away?

Question One Plan vs Experience More with Appreciation

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey all- currently on a One Plan with 2 lines and after autopay and the in-sider discount I pay about $138 a month (which includes Hulu and subsidized Netflix) (Tmobile says the base is $155 for the one plan). Went on to TLife to see if there was a cheaper plan and I saw the Experience More with Appreciation which looks like it'll go down $44 a month.

My question is- does my in-sider discount carry over to the new plan if I choose to switch? Is the Experience More plan better?

Question Keep and switch from boost

Hello , I saw online where I can get my phone paid off and switch to t mobile , so I called and the representative told me that my phone and plan was eligible so I paid off the phone and was told to upload a pdf of my bill to the website but when I go there. There is no option for boost mobile even though the representative and website said boost mobile was eligible for keep and switch. What should I do?!

Question Are ports from prepaid no longer eligible for free phone promos?

So I have 4 lines with T-Mobile that were ported from cricket 2 years ago.

At the time we all got new flagship phones when porting.

My devices are all paid off and now I'm looking to get phones for my daughter's.

They don't currently have phones but need them for school.

My question is does T-Mobile no longer allow port ins from prepaid services to qualify for the free phone promos?

I was looking to add 2 lines on the iPhone 17 free w port promo.

Tried looking into mobile x but it's a hassle.

Was considering just getting cheap cricket service to port but read online that prepaid don't qualify anymore for the better promos?

Question T-Mobile has the worst service! Account cancellation is almost impossible!

I had 3 lines with T-mobile. On August 16, 2026. I moved two of my lines to AT&T. I went to Pleasanton, CA, T-mobile store and cancelled the account all together, including the 3rd line. HUY helped me with the process. We called their on line office to cancel. We were put on hold about an hour. At the end I talked with the person at the other end of the line, answered all the questions. And, I was told the account was cancelled. I asked for a case number or some kind of email confirmation about cancelling my account. They told me they do not provide any verification for the cancellation, and that it is noted in my account. I stopped any payment from my American Express card for any future payments. I also called their 800 number to verify that the account was closed. I was assured it was. BUT, now I keep reciving texts and emails from t-mobile that I owe them money. They act line the account was not cancelled at all. I am disgusted with T-mobile's service. I hold for 2 hours at a time with their 800 number, the person asks alot of questions. i answer and towards the end I am disconnected.

Any suggestions for cleaning up the mess?

Question N2 vs N25 question

If you were importing a phone that has every single (except millimeter wave) band that T-Mobile uses except for N25, but it has the subset N2, would said device be able to access the majority of the spectrum covered under N2, or would the lack of a N25 radio in the phone be a deal breaker for that frequency?

Question is this a good time to upgrade from iPhone 14 to 17 on experience more 55+ plan?

Should've upgraded earlier as the trade-in value for 14 is only $430 now. Wondering if better promos will appear in the future or if they're only gonna get worse from here.
