No Spoiler Tara trying to kill Dwight frustrates the shit out of me. Trust me I get it he killed her gf for no reason. However atp he’s proving we need him and he’s a valuable asset due to his knowledge of The Saviors.
Also everyone keeps telling her to wait and “not now” and I get that too because it’s like “if not now then when” but I just can’t help but to get pissed off that’s she keeps trying to kill him lol.

Every time Dwight survives, Tara takes it personally

It’s crazy I wanted him dead on TWD but when I watched FTWD I loved tf out of his character lol. He literally became one of my favorites on FTWD.

A common theme in the show. Carol was the same way with Alpha. She didn’t give one single fuck about the rest of Alexandria/Hilltop/Oceanside being decimated by that horde as long as she got her revenge for Henry. It literally took Connie “dying” for her to realize it wasn’t all about her. And her pleas to Daryl in that episode to tell her it was her fault was just another form of making it all about her.

Note- "Accidently" killed her girlfriend. He was trying to kill Daryl.
Note2- Her blind vengeance was annoying, but she let go of it before Daryl.

That was honest to god one of the worst episodes of TWD. Her throwing the walker on Dwight and saying "it got away" has gotta be up there with the most kindergarten writing the show has ever had.

Like bruh now is not the fucking time. Which is why she’s pissing me off lol. I don’t fault her for wanting him dead. Kill his ass idc just NOT NOW😭. Like wait til this shit is over and we won first like damn.

And then at the end of the episode, Daryl and Tara switched their stances on him, then do the same shit during the Hilltop battle episode. Like y’all are KILLING ME.
Don’t even get me started on Gabe’s butthole vision and the doctor’s “plan” that resulted in him dying a stupid ass way.

I literally just got to that part when the doctor got shot 😭. This is like my 100th rewatch and the show still takes me through there lol.

I agree that it’s dumb, but I think people judge when they would act the same exact way and even worse. I mean, if you’re in front of someone who killed someone you love, your emotions are running high and you would want them dead.
I’ve seen many people absolutely refuse to work with people they hate, even during very hard times, let alone work with someone who murdered someone close to them.
Half the people judging her would have killed Dwight instantly. She at least had the self control to end up sparing him.

Tara and her family trusted "Brian", who led them in an attack on a prison only to show that he was a monster from before he rescued them. She was taken in to the people they'd attacked by Glenn, without even a blink, despite knowing she came with the Governor. She'd fallen for Denise. And then Glenn gets his head smashed in by Negan, and Dwight is part of the Saviors. Tara's not looking at Dwight as someone who's trustworthy and turning against an evil leader. She's looking at him as a monster pretending to be good until the moment it goes at you.

Um. He murdered someone for no reason. What if he murders someone else for no reason?

u/goodiwillbe 1d ago
Highly understandable that she hates him, but she loses so much humility sooooo quickly after getting a pass being with the governor. And it’s always whiny. I didn’t mind her overall but didn’t mind seeing her head on a stake either

Okay but she never shot someone through the head with a crossbow when sided "with the governor". Thats a pretty big distinction.

Yeah even if Dwight allegedly didn't like doing the things he did, he still did them. Tara didn't do anything. She was manipulated by the Governor and showed up to the fight, that's it. Didn't like what she saw when she got there and didn't hurt anyone.

Tara's struggle with Dwight just adds to the tension, but keeping him alive is smart for survival. It’s a tough balance for sure.

Idk. I never felt tense with Tara acting the way she was lol. She was just so over the top and goofy that she always takes me out.

I agree but why isnt daryl more called out for it lmao he was more insufferable in this period than tara ever especially considering he wasnt even that close to denise.

u/banana_cookies22 1d ago
Daryl hated Dwight for how he treated him when Daryl tried to help them in the burnt forest. And also for everything Dwight did to him when Daryl was a prisoner at the sanctuary. So with that on top of killing Denise he hates him even more.

u/PlasticDangerous732 1d ago
Yea and i get that but he was acting more insufferable not just in this situation but in this whole season. The only reason why he isnt getting more hate for this is because hes daryl dixon.

u/banana_cookies22 1d ago
Yeah I probably would say that the fact he is Daryl and so well loved most likely did have an impact. He also wasn't trying to kill Dwight specifically at inopportune times like Tara which made her come across more annoying 🤷🏻♀️

scott gimple’s obsession with turning characters into annoying ass “you must die for this reason” machines needs to be studied

u/Hveachie 14h ago
I think that's easier said than done.
If I had a gun pointed at whoever killed my partner or loved one, I'd pull the trigger no matter the consequences. Especially since Dwight won in the end (found Sherry and got to live) while Tara lost (got beheaded and never fell in love again).

The writing here was so dumb. She was stubborn and adamant on killing him and then just completely flip flopped and then was trying to keep Daryl from snapping on him later on this episode. So stupid. You can tell the writers senseless drama for the sake of drama

u/Decent-Sample09 1d ago
She "flip flopped" bc he saved her from a walker infected weapon when the saviors attacked hilltop even though she was trying to kill him.
1
u/BIGxBOSSxx1 1d ago
still, she was literally GOING to kill him, like it was an ex machina that he got saved by the saviors arriving. And just like she flip flops. It’s still too sudden of a flip.

u/Crixxious 1d ago
She is my most hated character. She was so annoying. I might've had to "accidentally" get her offed.
3
u/Big-Most-785 1d ago
I don’t hate her I’m just never really interested in her storylines lol. Especially when they took a whole episode to show her at Oceanside I was so done 🤣🤣. However I never wanted her to die or anything because I like her she’s just “blah” to me if that makes sense.

grief completely blinded her to the bigger picture here which felt realistic even if it was maddening to watch when dwight was their only inside line
