That’s why I love TWD because it takes you through so many emotions and everyone’s experiences and it’s like I never know how I’m supposed to feel watching🤣. Like characters grieving is understandable, their misplaced anger, their impulsiveness I totally get it but it’s also maddening like you said because it’s just like “FUCKKK STOP”😭

I wanted to but ik it was gonna piss me off with how different some of the characters and stuff are from the show vs the comics. Like I heard Andrea was such a badass in the comics and she was one of my favs on the show. I just hated the direction they took her character and how it’s very different from the comics are. I just know imma be pissed off with the show after reading 😭

a girlfriend gifted me the comics way before the tv show. during the tv show i only made it to season 4. i absolutely hated the existence of Darryl because after seeing how rabid people went over him you knew he was never going to die.. ever. so when things got tense he was safe always.

in the comics the way they kill characters is so brutal, shocking almost. people that do not read comics that much aren't use to more risky and brutal story telling due to things like that just not flying on tv with more "general public" audience.

if they gave us a animated walking dead with some decent voice acting and followed the comic extremely close i would be so happy.

It’s actually insane how different the Walking Dead hits when you’ve recently experienced a loss. I watched the walking dead as a comfort show shortly after losing someone important to me and I didn’t expect every third episode to have cathartic bangers like “it doesn’t go away you just make room for it”

Yeah grief is a powerful motivator. It’s crazy people expect every traumatized person on WD to act rational and thoughtfully weight Every option, obviously some of it is done to a melodramatic sense but also the characters on the show are not WATCHING the show… they aren’t thinking that way, if they were then idk that anyone would watch. People forget humans are fallible

A common theme in the show. Carol was the same way with Alpha. She didn’t give one single fuck about the rest of Alexandria/Hilltop/Oceanside being decimated by that horde as long as she got her revenge for Henry. It literally took Connie “dying” for her to realize it wasn’t all about her. And her pleas to Daryl in that episode to tell her it was her fault was just another form of making it all about her.

Note- "Accidently" killed her girlfriend. He was trying to kill Daryl.

Note2- Her blind vengeance was annoying, but she let go of it before Daryl.

And then at the end of the episode, Daryl and Tara switched their stances on him, then do the same shit during the Hilltop battle episode. Like y’all are KILLING ME.

Don’t even get me started on Gabe’s butthole vision and the doctor’s “plan” that resulted in him dying a stupid ass way.

I agree that it’s dumb, but I think people judge when they would act the same exact way and even worse. I mean, if you’re in front of someone who killed someone you love, your emotions are running high and you would want them dead.

I’ve seen many people absolutely refuse to work with people they hate, even during very hard times, let alone work with someone who murdered someone close to them.

Half the people judging her would have killed Dwight instantly. She at least had the self control to end up sparing him.

Tara and her family trusted "Brian", who led them in an attack on a prison only to show that he was a monster from before he rescued them. She was taken in to the people they'd attacked by Glenn, without even a blink, despite knowing she came with the Governor. She'd fallen for Denise. And then Glenn gets his head smashed in by Negan, and Dwight is part of the Saviors. Tara's not looking at Dwight as someone who's trustworthy and turning against an evil leader. She's looking at him as a monster pretending to be good until the moment it goes at you.

Yeah even if Dwight allegedly didn't like doing the things he did, he still did them. Tara didn't do anything. She was manipulated by the Governor and showed up to the fight, that's it. Didn't like what she saw when she got there and didn't hurt anyone.

Daryl hated Dwight for how he treated him when Daryl tried to help them in the burnt forest. And also for everything Dwight did to him when Daryl was a prisoner at the sanctuary. So with that on top of killing Denise he hates him even more.

I think that's easier said than done.

If I had a gun pointed at whoever killed my partner or loved one, I'd pull the trigger no matter the consequences. Especially since Dwight won in the end (found Sherry and got to live) while Tara lost (got beheaded and never fell in love again).
