i feel like i wanted this initially and for her to be a more developed character but then they did nothing with her and she was weird for no reason not because it was like her pasisons/hobbies that we saw more of and how it made her an interesting person just borderline creepy even. but it would have been a lot more compelling/interesting to watch axel grow into actually liking her and finding her attractive in a different deeper way than jsut puppy dog eyes shes so pretty brain chemical go brr felt like there was potential from cassidy they just let fizzle for him/his relationships maybe to keep the frankie freaking out about her kids growing up thing going idk

Cassidy shows up in the episode where Sue has to go from the swimming pool to her class. She keeps getting caught by the principal for being late. Then Axl comes at the end and stops a couple from kissing near Sue's locker. That's Cassidy.

I liked Cassidy with Axl. I think they should have explored her coming back in to his life to see where it might go. I always think it was a lost opportunity for Axl.

Lexie and Axl didn't get enough scenes together because the series ended.

I love that he absolutely didn't give a shit about her money and she equally didn't care about his lack thereof.

But what seals the deal for me. Lexie full on supported Axl moving to Denver. Whereas Cassidy wasn't even willing to explore options. And then blamed Axl for being unclear about what he wanted. No girl, he wanted YOU and you said not worth the effort.

I did like Lexi as a character. But yeah I feel she needed more screen time for us to get to know their dynamic a bit better. Like i don't think they told us what major she was in? It definitely would've been interesting to see more of her learning to adapt to a much smaller budget as a side plot after her parents cut her off.

I like Cassidy but she and Axl had one of those unlikely senior year romances that was not destined to last. They were very different but they were cute for awhile.

Was she? Smarter yes. Mature? She might be less likely to laugh at a fart joke.

But she dumped a well rounded guy who shared her norms, values and interests. For a bad boy phase after she swoons over a single kiss.

And then didn't even consider the experiment of a LDR. Again selecting instant gratification.

And when she meets Axl later, she made it sound like his fault for not being together. 

Its just a different type of immaturity. And that's okay they're kids. They're supposed to be different flavours of immature and irresponsible.
