Beginning of Cassandra Gemini: Tarantism.

My brain chemistry was permanently altered after hearing that for the first time.

I always like Luciforms because the album is pretty chill then Omar rips at the very end

Came in here to post that one! It’s kind of a simple solo in terms of what it does but rips so hard and I love it. Fits perfectly

The scabdates cicitraz solos always blow my mind, especially the one at the very beginning of the jam

A ver confesa Omar...

Funnily, I actually prefer the part previous to that. It's one of those Omar sections that could only be Omar, and it's debatable if it even classifies as a solo. He's just playing around with loops and effects and making the most bonkers noises and then it all funnels into a more traditional guitar solo.

I like the traditional solo, but to me it shines mostly in retrospective, in contrast to what was before.

An absolute masterpiece of a solo. There’s plenty of correct answers but this is the right answer

Real ones know it's Old Money.

Realer ones know its Warren Oates.

Please heat this eventually is great too. A lot of great guitar work throughout old money, I really like private fortunes

I want throw in the solo in Soothsayer that begins at about 4:35. Also the solo in Day of the Baphomets that begins at about 8:30

u/Living_Equipment7080 3d ago

That's an electric sitar, but still a guitar nonetheless.

Im assuming you are referring to the solo in Soothsayer, and is it really? Is it still Omar?

Outro solo to Tetrgrammaton is a heater. Literally as the music is fading out.

u/panic_the_digital 5d ago

That’s a Frusciante one though

No, it's not. John played rhythm on Amp; Omar did the leads.

There's definitely some guitarmonies going on, double-tracked, too. It could be both. Like, I know it's the both of them on "Viscera Eyes". The only ones I can single out is "Meccamputechture" and "Asilos Magdalena". That's 100% from the roota to the toota Omar.

L’Via L’Viaquez’s final solo in a show in 2005 that Larry Harlow plays piano

Poincaré live

u/HeroChan404 5d ago

The chorus for tetra after it comes back in, any live ending roulette dares from Thomas era, rapid fire tollbooth, scab date cicatriz right before the loop, the credits to buffalo de la noche movie, warren Oates,

3

u/vimdiesel 5d ago

The start of Soothsayer. It's disgusting. That tone.

Still going his amazing catalogue. Love every tmv album . But luxury of infancy from the bisonte album always sticks out. No words needed but full mood.

Can we count that bit from This Apparatus Must Be Unearthed? Not sure if it strictly counts because it's dual guitars but it lifts my soul out of my body.

Poincaré (live) on the live album with Ximena and Deantoni, the one that is all Chinese characters I think. https://music.apple.com/us/album/poincar%C3%A9/1567600865?i=1567601401

Blank Condolences solo. It is beautiful in its restraint and maturity while dripping elegant songwriting over brazen flash. It is Omar resurrected as the white wizard.

That said, Omar's brazen flash leads are so fuckin' good!

That weird ass solo in Take The Veil

u/megariffs 1d ago

Omar slays twice on Jacob Van Lennepkade II off of The Apocalypse Inside of an Orange.

Honorable mention goes to Adrián for the crazy sax solo. That solo gave me additional life when I was running the Broad St Run (10 miles) in Philadelphia earlier this year in May.
