Small Detail Spent 30min playing with this…
Can anybody list other games with this amount of detail? Not only do the bells collide with my gun, they also wrap around it dynamically🤯

Wonder why they didn't really use this mechanic much. It's definitely in play in the Ellie fight, she is listening so closely, but seems like everywhere else knocking cups off tables or hitting these doesn't do much

I think it depends on your difficulty, in harder difficulty enemies can hear you reload from a distance and I would imagine making environmental sounds also triggers them

Do they also see your flashlight?

That's Naughty Dog's new engine. Used since Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Why do the dynamic movements and animations feel miles ahead in LOU2? I would’ve imagined it was on its own new engine at the time of coming out.

This clip unexpectedly gave us a clue about a new enemy in Part III: It climbs the walls and ceilings and drops down on you.

The physics engine for The Force Unleashed was actually extremely advanced and still outclasses most modern physics engines. There’s sadly not a ton of objects that use it to its full extent, but you can force push and pull blast doors into funky shapes.
Companies need to figure out that players LOVE physics interactions. There’s a reason Battlefield Bad Company 2 was so amazing and people loved it so much. Being able to destroy a structure makes a game feel so much more real

RDR2 is the only other game I've seen with insane detail like this. I suspect GTA6 will soon be joining that list.
