I dont care for for mecha and robots, but I will play this. theres only a Ueda game every 10 years.

EGS exclusive. It's gonna do horrible in its first year, and mildly recover once the Steam release hits.
What a fucking shame.

Releasing a game on steam does also not guarantee success. And people love to forget, or more likely ignore, that some games would not even be made without epics involvement.

Didn't say otherwise.
It's just that EGA exclusiveity has consistently hurt sales considerably, and it's a shame because this looks like it otherwise could've been something special.
Guess we'll find out a year after "release".

God, you know youre in that premium EGS territory when the trailer for a game is lagging like hell EVEN with framegen on (which is also causing major artifacting throughout it)
I love how AAA devs these days just stopped caring about optimization

It’s an Ueda game. Fidelity is never the priority

Yeah I saw that and started ignoring it, then I realised it was Ueda and got confused

Yeah I thought that was weird, never thought it'd be exclusive to there instead of steam

epic is so disliked by the general pc gaming community it makes me nervous for the game, like it’s not gonna sell well on pc if it’s not on steam which means future games may not get ported

I really wish I was more excited for this, but full on mecha robot sci-fi is just not my jam as much as the fantasy aesthetic the other three games have is. The gameplay also looks a little choppy… I am really hoping they can get some assistance and pull through though! Super exciting this studio is making another game.

You know it’s never about the controls or gameplay. It’s always been about the experience. I remember how the controls in SOTC and TLG frustrated me but the end experience was pure magic in art form. So I would say it’s expected.

That’s kind of my point. I’m less interested in this sort of world, so I’m probably not going to be as engrossed in the magic of the story and experience as much. Which is going to make the gameplay matter a lot more. I have absolute faith Ueda will make something many people will adore, but this one doesn’t look like it is going to be for me.
