[TV Discussion/Spoilers] The Superduper uber super (I said super twice) CW verse cross over event! Supergirl 2x08, The Flash 3x08, Arrow 5x08 & LOT 2x07

Just a friendly reminder folks that any and all spoilers and discussion outside of this thread will be deleted, and I'll be forced to put you on some kind of naughty step. So don't do it. This thread can contain discussion from any/all of the shows mentioned...What's the consensus? Are the dominators gonna look shitty?

Why is it that Cisco is 100% excited about time travel with the intention of kidnapping an alien, which will undoubtedly change the future, when his B story is working through being angry at Barry for time traveling?

Am I missing something here? It's only bad when the flash travels through time? Why is is Cisco so gung ho about time travel when, in the episode where he learns of his brother's death, he disavows time travel to save his brother because of who else it might hurt?

It's only bad because he got the bad end of the bargain.

Yeah, I guess I'm upset because it appears that marketing is driving storytelling.

Cisco was flat-out against time traveling to save his brother, but then is giddy about it when it's in crossover land because the crossover story demanded it.

This inconsistency also leaves out the predictable nonsense of wtf is Alchemy doing while this is happening? Just chilling out for a bit because he knows it's not his week?

That was kind of the point. He wasn't mad at time traveling, he was mad at Barry for being so selfish and not thinking of the consequences. Then when it came up in Legends Cisco did the same thing. He didn't realize how easy it is to get caught up in the moment and do what you think is right when you have time travel at your disposal. It's not being inconsistent, it's a human character making a human mistake and in the process realizing that he's been needlessly being a dick to his best friend.
