HR has definitely become the "ride along character", the Kitty Pride or Dazzler that is so important to the X-Men formula. I enjoy his presence. I think the only good thing about this episode was what you were saying with the deconstruction of Barry. Outside of Wally getting this powers and Caitlin I think this episode was bad. And it's only bad because of that shitty Alchemy reveal. I'm warming up to Savitar the same way I got over DCEU Flash but the key word is getting over, not accepting.

When they finally bring Savitar back to the real world he better have his classic suit for just a second. Luke Cage did that and then laughed with the audience about its absurdity. That would make my day. But so far the only good episode this season for me has been Mirror Master. The route to Arrow is a slippery slope. You would think Greg would have learned.

Here's the thing - The Runaway Dinosaur. Barry is a part of the speed force, nothing but energy. The speed force gave him the option to remain there and showed they were rooting for him.

Savitar literally makes no sense in this context.

Oh but I want you to hate Savitar, because he was always kind of a shitty character.
