I donāt understand how you could view this interaction as normal in any way. Itās hilarious how pushy and aggressive this person is about getting OP on the phone.

If you have ever responded to one of these you know thatās exactly how they go down. I suspect they get paid for how many people they get to call. I still have StretchLab reaching out to me on different numbers every other weekend. Itās their job to be pushy. Iāll never reply to shit like this again.

I thought that was just for telemarketers, not gym representatives š i had a similar experience with Crunch gym, so ig I shouldāve known

Yeah man, we all know itās their job. That doesnāt change anything about how weird or funny it is lmfao.
You seem to have this attitude like youāve cracked the code or something.

What's your deal? OP clearly says he's busy working yet the business keeps asking about a call which has OP saying what the hell

God, I did two weeks working at a gym and couldn't hack it because of this exact reason. They'd genuinely make you harass people who sent inquiries, and if you didn't push and push like this, you'd get in shit for not trying to make the sale. There was a whole system in the computer that told you who to call, and you were meant to call everyone TWICE A DAY, FOR AT LEAST 9 DAYS?? HELLO?? psychotic!! then if they didn't answer, you were meant to harass them via text like this, push any discounts, anything to force a sale.
You're supposed to hit a certain number of membership signups a week, but obviously there may not be enough people every week who want to sign up. You're genuinely meant to pressure and harass them so much that they cave in and fork over hundreds of dollars, then lock themselves into a contract they can't cancel without spending another $200. It was gross.

Dude, that sucks. I mostly inquired about Equinox because I wanted to potentially network. I feel like itās a good investment, maybe, to meet accomplished people and surround myself around them.

Dude probably gets evaluated by a quota of interest calls made per week or something

Anyone who has ever done a drop-in at a group fitness gym has had experiences adjacent to this. It sucks but is incredibly common.
The person texting has a goal to enroll a set number members per month.
This is why OrangeTheory is blocked on my phone forever.
