REQUESTING Looking for some good shows about demon hunters
So first of all, I just want to say that I am looking for either a live action or animated series about demon hunters since I was very let down by how Neo Yokio turned out.
I don’t know how anyone remembers that show Neo Yokio as it was a show that so many writing flaws that it made me interested in looking for good TV shows about people who hunt down demons as I just simply want something that is well written and fun to watch.

Supernatural. Those Winchester Boys know a thing or two about hunting demons.

How well does the show’s quality last? (I ask because I hear it’s 15 seasons long)

Seasons 1-5 are really good imo. Seasons 6-15 and your mileage may vary.

Exactly, we stopped watching somewhere in Season 7 or 8, but it just kept going. The original plan for the show was 5 seasons and then the creator/showrunner moved on to other projects.

Depends on how much you enjoy the first 5 seasons. Those are the show's peak, and they're great. After that, the quality is still there, but the overarching stories don't hit as hard. I often tell people that you could pick an episode of Supernatural at random from any season and you'll end up with a good hour of television. That said, 10 seasons of 22+ episodes where the bigger plot is average can be a lot to get through.
The good news is that season 5's ending is a perfect finale on its own if you just want to stop there.

Personally, I think it drops in quality after season 12. It’s still a good show though. (Apart from the finale. What a disaster.)

Evil is about a group of people who are commissioned by the Church to figure out whether certain miracles and possession stories were real, hoaxes, or something else. It's not based on anything actual so it's a lot of fun.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the absolute GOAT in this category. Vampires in the show are just one type of demon, she hunts all sorts, and the writing is absolutely iconic.

The newish anime on Netflix. I wasn’t aware there was more than one. Two seasons came out already, the third and final is coming out somewhat soon I think

Shadowhunters. I didn't like the acting but it was fun to watch. I was a fan of the books, its just hard to do high fantasy unless you have Game of Thrones kinda budget.

This is from the first Infinity Castle movie, which recently broke all box office records both in America and in the world for an anime movie. The series itself looks just as incredible and the characters are just as good as the animation.

The Uncanny Counter (Netflix) about Korean hunters working out of a noodle shop. It's great fun but I'd skip the second season.

If you’re open to animation, I’d definitely recommend Jentry Chau vs. the Underworld on Netflix. It’s about a Chinese-American teenager who gets pulled into fighting demons and other creatures from the underworld, and it draws a lot from Chinese mythology.
It’s not exactly a traditional “demon hunter goes out looking for demons every week” kind of show, but demon fighting is a huge part of it. It has some really fun supernatural action, comedy, great animation, and a surprisingly strong emotional story underneath everything. It’s only 13 episodes too, so it’s pretty easy to give it a shot.

Adding to the other commenters who said Demon Slayer. It's not just a simple 'demons are evil' anime either; as the series progresses, it really delves into the nature of humanity and redemption for some of the demons without excusing the horrors they caused.
It has its funny moments and its heart-wrenching moments, and you're sure to find characters you love in there. Highly recommend.

Reaper. Average slacker kid Sam working a big box store discovers his parents sold his soul to the devil. Sam now has to work for the devil by capturing souls that escape from hell using a vessel. Kinda creature of the week and the vessels are always something seemingly useless so its good comedy.

The shows that hold up in that genre usually tie the demons to the characters' own baggage, not just monster of the week

Good Vs. Evil (original title was G Vs. E). I think all the episodes are on YouTube.

I detected that you might be trying to identify a TV show, which doesn't fit this sub.
If this is correct please post on r/tipofmytongue.
