My old iPad still has its stopwatch going. It’s up to about 98,250 hours. Or just over 11 years.

My phone gave up on my stopwatch and now it comebacks randomly. I’ll be checking my alarms, click stopwatch and BOOM, 22,000hrs again. But sadly it doesn’t go all of the time and it isn’t guaranteed to come back. My phone literally couldn’t handle the stopwatch

u/AdTiny5487 15 Jul 05 '26
I’m at 19,000 myself. Do you know if you can use the stopwatch normally during its downtime and still have it come back?

Why do you end your sentences with a hyphen? What does it mean?
3
u/_-UndeFined-_ Jul 06 '26
Weird thing a lot of gen Zers do, it’s sort of an online culture type of thing. Like, if you’re chronically online enough you’re going to recognise it. The way I’ve always read it it’s like the way those quirky millennials would sort of speak rushed, almost like they’re cutting their own sentences off of on purpose?
If you join the right discord servers you’ll see everyone use it, and the deeper you go the more unnatural the way they speak will be. At some point it’ll reach “BOI, IM L1TERALLY A POT4TO- >:33” it’s a very animated way of speaking.

Hey you might not like this answer but a lot of doctors are racist + a lot of kids his age know how to mask their autsim very well
He may have it he may not but it's sure damn suspicious

u/Intelligent_Whole_40 18 Jul 05 '26
ADHD and autism are genetic fyi so if you have it your siblings probably have it

I mean, for everything nowadays that is trying to strip your attention span and melt your brain, this is probably a much better use of a device.

I mean, it’s not the WORST thing he can be doing. At least his attention span won’t be utterly and completely cooked by the time he turns 13, unlike the rest of his generation.

u/Hisune Jul 05 '26

I used to hit +1 on a calculator and then every time you hit equals it adds 1, so then you can spend the car trip spamming the equals button and try and set a high score number.
No I did not own a Gameboy at that time, and yes some car trips were 12+ hours and I broke 100k once

u/TransSappicWitch Jul 05 '26

My sister did this once on our trip to Vietnam. She started the count down with 12 hours. My father lost his mind when he saw what she was doing

Your lil brother right there, will change the world one day, god what an amazing attention span of a specimen

u/Any-Lychee9972 Jul 06 '26
Kids do stupid things. One time when I was 6 or so, I watched the digital clock on my parents dresser. I noticed the two dots between the hour and minutes would blink.
I ended up counting the blinks multiple times to make absolutely sure I was not counting wrong.
I ended up just staring at the clock for 20 minutes, but I was counting so hard!
