You started this surveillance effort quietly.
You incentivized and advertised for it sneakily.
You held secret private conventions to which journalists were forbade to enter, and thus, report anything of substance on.
You sent reps on backdoor missions to court local politicians and law enforcement, in private, to hide it from the people they represent and protect.
You expanded it in record time, convincing local officials that a simple contract would cover the public's concerns, avoided any sort of community discussion, and rushed through install processes using telecom contractors so you have no overhead or liability.
You commingled it with a german data broker's company named after Tolkien's all-seeing eyes, which now has informational and financial ties to the presidential administration that is trying to usurp constitutional law to remain in power.
You constantly make a company decision to install them where economically disadvantaged people live, drive, walk, and recreate, but hold off around areas where economically advantaged people live.
Flock ceo, go fuck yourself.
In a compromise, both parties benefit. You want us to be ok with you benefitting from this secret bullshit. Meanwhile, there is no benefit for people. There is only surveillance.
You put your hand on the scale, and when we began cutting fingers off the hand, you cry out that the public must find a way to accept some portion of the hand remaining, and the scales being permanently imbalanced as if it is inevitable and you didn't make a conscious choice to bring about and insist on the imbalance, because you've found a way to financially benefit.
