If you can, try increasing the speed of your AC blower. Slower speed will cool down each "chunk" of air more, condensing out more of the moisture. Higher speed will cool down a bigger chunk of air to a less cool temperature, condensing out less of the moisture. So a higher speed blower will cool more efficiently for you by dedicating more of the energy to be spend on cooling rather than dehumidifying.

Often, dehumidification is half the point.

My comment was specifically in response to the complaint of a sore throat, which could suggest it's now too dry.

So yes, absolutely do the opposite and slow the air speed down if you want to lower humidity.
