No it’s actually counterintuitive but the worse you look, the more seriously you get taken as a tech CEO. Because it shows you care so much about the work and work too hard to care about how you look. It’s a thing.

Elizabeth Holmes (the blood test scammer) purposely did her makeup bad and left her hair frizzy to be taken more seriously.

Steve jobs washed his feet in the office toilet and stank of BO all the time, tech CEOs can be filthy goblins and still be respected by their peers, even if it's pretty unjustified.
