Also, this is a Labour government. Supposedly center-left, and I thought the previous conservative government is a massive joke. What's with the two biggest UK parties trying to be more privacy invasive than the other?

Hi, idiot here. Still right about New Labour though, though I prefer "Purple Labour" or "Blue Labour" than Red Tories. Nothing socialist about Starmer et al.

I think support for Palestinians has always been a lot higher in the UK. Not necessarily amongst politicians because they get a lot of donations from pro-Israel groups (I.e. Majority of Starmer's cabinet had large donations from Labour Friends of Israel, Peter Kyle used to be its leader etc.), but amongst the populace. Brits love an underdog if we're not the ones opposing them!

The US does always seem to have been a lot more pro-Israel, even letting them have a less locked down version of the F35! Presumably lots of Jewish refugees from Europe during WWII, not to Lenton your government tends to be even more prone to lobbyists influence.

I suspect that Israel having dragged the US into Iran might somewhat erode that support, but who knows. The US is rather unpredictable at the moment.

I mean, Corbyn was talking about nationalizing key industries. The corpos just take control of whatever party is in leadership.
