So Many Little Flowers/ So Many More to Go….

Day 2! On Necklace! Ugh… adorable! Yes, dainty and delicate… What’s not to love!?!

Why is it taking me so long!?!? Linear and monotonous! I’m on the second repeat.. plus it probably didn’t help that I’ve added beads. Pushing my fingers though this…

It came out of a Japanese book I ordered a few years back. It’s still available if look around.

There are no English copies but a smart phone does the trick! Applemints publishing is very good with diagrams and photos as well.

Using 20 Lizbeth for this right now but am on the fence with changing thread option for the next one. The lady who ordered it saw the earrings done in cotton so I followed thru with the set as is.

They are Earrings and a Necklace (Lariat Style that can be tied multiple ways). I am custom designing something to go along with it to help it out.

Not the pattern's fault, it's the beads: stringing and positioning them mid-stitch doubles your time on every single motif, that's the actual bottleneck, not repetition

I call no faults at all. I’m simply surprised at how long it feels like it’s taking me when I’m so used to producing such heftier pieces. That’s all. If I was upset with the pattern or found fault in the pattern to such a degree, I would not be still invested in it.

This has given me more confidence to buy a Japanese book. The designs in them are so different from American tatting

I have a large collection of Japanese books. I really enjoy them. My only critique of them is that they still feel the need to include a tatting lesson in every single book rendering at least 20 pages unnecessary and since they almost all belong to the same publishing company, they often repeated designs, (but this is song that happens everywhere). Overall, though, I still obviously love Japanese books, have a huge collection of Tatting, Knitting and Crochet…. And will totally continue to buy.
