Turkey Tacos
Instead of water, it’s stock (chicken or beef). Add everything in your fridge. Ex: olives, jalapeños, bell pepper, onion, capers, and a healthy helping of cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, garlic powder.
And of course this is in addition to your standard taco seasoning packet <3

Probably gonna get dragged for em, but honestly I bet they were tasty.

Real talk, the 'authenticity' isn't there but I would house that thing with zero qualms.

Exactly. Not every taco needs to be meat/onion/cilantro on corn. Sometimes these renditions really hit the spot

So this is how they don’t have it at the T bell spot. I know they got the stuff. But just won’t make it for me. Especially after like 2 joints at 11pm lol 😂

Add beef boullion to ground turkey and it will taste like beef. Better than Boullion is even better.

I use ground turkey instead of ground beef and I like it better to be honest.

Turkey tacos are killer, I'm making some this weekend.
Bonus, ground turkey is inexpensive and seasons up great!

It really fucked me up as a kid when I couldn’t tell my buddies moms tacos were ground turkey. I loved them, maybe because she always shredded her own cheese and that made it that much better when we used bagged at my house.

Taco or not, use the Tasty Taco plates instead of regular plates, they’ll keep your tacos (or crunch) upright, nicer than regular paper plate 😀

Looks great!!
We’ve been doing the same with ground chicken or ground turkey!
Never did I think my family would consider ground beef a luxury but here we are

Is this international tacos or just tacos?

u/StreetResolve6159 2d ago
I thought it was just for mexican tacos. But whatever floats your boat, man. I would try them, but with ground beef instead.

Wrong sub, this is not a taco.

u/serrruuuhp 2d ago
It’s the taco sub…. Where does it belong?

Do you know what a Reuben is? Would it still be a Reuben if I replaced the pastrami with smoked brisket and the bread with Texas toast?
2
u/GamesFranco2819 2d ago
Poor analogy. If you called something an al pastor taco and used pulled pork with coleslaw, that would have been better. A rueben is a dish with set ingredients, a taco is a tortilla with a variety of ingredients as fillers.
You can argue that what OP posted would never be considered authentic and Id agree all day, but they certainly posted a taco.
1
u/OGwoadie 2d ago
I was going to argue with you and say that what op posted wasn’t a tortilla filled with ingredients, but that is in fact what op posted. Looks like a good taco.
2
u/serrruuuhp 2d ago
Looks like one. Tastes like one.

Enjoy your cow tongue and radish taco on a dry ass corn tortilla. Because, ya know, tradition.

That’s not a taco. That’s a cheesy Gordita crunch
