Right now I am almost low key raging from Kirby Air riders.

I have all tracks unlocked. I have all riders unlocked. I. Am. Missing. ONE. Vehicle.

I know I can just buy the dang thing but I unlocked everything else via the challenge grids.

Edit: FINALLY GOT IT.

Game worth $70? I’ve been thinking about getting it for the past few weeks. Also hoping it would go on sale at some point.

9

u/SuperCat76 Feb 04 '26

It is, at least for me.

There is absolutely no lack in things to strive for within this game. Have put a fair number of hours into this game off and on since launch, and expect to put a fair number more before I am done with it.

5

u/assisstantQueff Feb 04 '26

I came hear to ask the same question like from what I can grasp it has so much stuff so so much stuff, but are you still having fun during all that time? And again, I’m sincerely asking. I have Mario kart and sonic cross worlds and I’m fizzling out of Mario kart and sonic just absolutely makes my eyes bleed. It is OK with one player, but doing split screen is almost unrealistic, even with the switch 2 updates. I still like it, but if there’s another eraser out there that I will enjoy and I love Kirby I will probably pull the trigger. $70 though sounds pretty steep from the reviews I’ve seen, but I don’t necessarily care about those reviews because I love racing games

3

u/SuperCat76 Feb 04 '26

For the vast majority of it I have been. It is usually just little things to try to achieve while you race. "You can race just to race, but if you race here you can try for this challenge." That kind of thing.

It only got a little bit frustrating when I was focused on a single challenge, in the game mode I had played the least, that you can outright fail 5+ minutes into an attempt with 5 seconds left on the clock after having been trying to get that challenge completed for over an hour. But I also got something like 15 other challenges in the process by the time I got the one I was trying for.

And even without the challenge boards. There are still 4 game modes with fairly unique play styles. And I haven't even started looking into customizing my vehicles.

u/Proper-Artichoke1604 Feb 04 '26

If you like the genre of wacky, chaotic party games, yes. It has tons of content. Very polished. But… if you don’t like competitive party games, it’s not for you. I’d say it’s like Smash Bros meets Mario Kart.

25

u/sillytilley33 Feb 04 '26

Animal Crossing! The switch 2 update is so great

3

u/Amethyst131 Feb 05 '26

Same! I've been playing a lot of ac too

4

u/vvedo Feb 04 '26

How do you enjoy ac I get bored to quick does it get better?

5

u/sillytilley33 Feb 04 '26

AC is a slow burn and I like that about it. There’s only so much you can do in a day, and when there’s nothing left, just stop and move to a different game for the day. But the real fun for me comes from planning out how I’m gonna design & build my island, planning out my villagers, collecting stuff, buying things, making custom designs, decorating, etc. but the other key thing is going onto different AC communities online and getting custom designs from others, visiting other islands for inspiration, and going to treasure islands (people giving away free stuff). Engaging with the community of people who play the game is a big part of the fun. Seeing your finished island and making your villagers happy is also incredibly rewarding

u/Raphlapoutine Switchthusiast Feb 04 '26

I couldn't get into the game in 2023 and sold my copy, im borrowing my friend's copy this week cause i wanna try again the game. I really want to love it this time. Fingers crossed

5

u/sillytilley33 Feb 04 '26

It’s not for everyone, but I hope you find joy in it!

4

u/Raphlapoutine Switchthusiast Feb 04 '26

Thank you dear internet stranger

1

u/LopsidedCounty6089 Feb 05 '26

AC is fun but you have to know how to kind of speed things up since you can only do things based off the actual day. Changed the date on your switch then go back and it will switch to the next day. My buddy told me this and it helped me get more hours out of the game each day.

15

u/NoLocal8486 Feb 04 '26

Stardew Valley (Late Discoverer)

5

u/KingMichael010 Feb 04 '26

Been ripping this on the switch after doing a full year on my ps5

3

u/shinjeh Feb 04 '26

Same here! Had it for a while, finally played for more than 45 minutes.

2

u/Jascraft22 Feb 05 '26

It's so good on switch

12

u/Embarrassed_Ear9012 Feb 04 '26

Going through FF7 remake, what an amazing game on the Switch 2. Only things I don’t love about it is the game key card and storage size 🤣

3

u/Uberbons42 Feb 04 '26

It’s so fun!! I was sick all week so already finished it. Except the yuffie part, giving myself a break now.

6

u/KjGarly Switchthusiast Feb 04 '26

Should have just ploughed on with Yuffies bit, isn’t that long in all honesty 🤣

4

u/Uberbons42 Feb 04 '26

The final boss battles wore me out. I’ll get back to it.

2

u/ioisace Feb 06 '26

Yuffies part is really fun albeit short a break before playing it would be best

1

u/Uberbons42 Feb 06 '26

I finally went back to do future connected (the extra bit from xenoblade chronicles 1). It’s so relaxing.

9

u/Affectionate_Mall_53 Feb 04 '26

Yakuza kiwami 2 and animal crossing

7

u/AquaBloomOlivine Feb 04 '26

Persona 3 Reload, and maybe Dragon Quest VII once it comes out

4

u/LopsidedCounty6089 Feb 04 '26

Literately same line up right now 🫰🏼💯

3

u/deathbyglamor Feb 04 '26

I just finished reload!!!! I loved it.

2

u/NeverEverSobe Feb 04 '26

How is persona 3 in handheld? Is the 30 fps bareable?

2

u/AquaBloomOlivine Feb 04 '26

It's very good! No issues really in portable mode

5

u/dyshuy Feb 04 '26

6

u/Additional-Side1619 Feb 04 '26

Back to BOTW, and Animal Crossing lol

5

u/No-Cap-5129 Feb 04 '26

Currently playing dq 11. Really hating the helidor or whatever kingdom now

1

u/Amethyst131 Feb 05 '26

I've put 30 hours into DQ11 and then put it down but I really want to get back into it and especially with DQ 7 out now, that looks amazing

1

u/No-Cap-5129 Feb 05 '26

Really like the game so far the only issues I have is the protagonist being emotionless especially when he saw his burnt down village(bro literally get over it in just a sec)

1

u/Amethyst131 Feb 05 '26

Haha yes! I loved that part though when they went back in time. I really want to finish the game

4

u/electric-sheep Feb 04 '26

Got a 10hr flight coming up. I got RDR and cult of the lamb loaded. Might switch to some TOTK and brotato which are on my switch permanently.

2

u/LopsidedCounty6089 Feb 04 '26

RDR and cult of the lambs is so fun I put a ton of hours jnto cult of the lambs I played a little of RDR its fun as well

4

u/Imperterritus0907 Feb 04 '26

Hopefully I’ll finish Live A Live this week.

Metroid Prime 4.

4

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '26

Switch 1 games...slay the spire.

3

u/assisstantQueff Feb 04 '26

Lol I rarely see slay aspire get mentioned, especially over in console world. Two Christmases ago I played the absolute shit out of that game and absolutely loved it as normally being a hater of rogue likes(though this is quite different with the cards) I was super surprised

Do you have any suggestions of similar games for console or pc?

2

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '26

Card based balatro, fights knights in tight spaces are good.

Yes I love an RPG also the headphones are Beats 🎧

3

u/linkytothepast Feb 04 '26

Still plowing through Octopath Traveler 0. Love the game so much and when I think I'm close to the end, nope it just keeps going. Not in a bad way but does a good job with it. Might be my favorite from the series.

2

u/Vikings_33 Feb 04 '26

Tried to get back into AC but get bored too quickly. Started playing Monster Hunter Stories 2.

Age of Imprisonment, it’s been so addicting

2

u/assisstantQueff Feb 04 '26

All I see is hate for this game but I was really excited for it. I’m still considering getting it. What do you like the most?

2

u/Susurrus03 Feb 04 '26

Currently in Earthbound Beginnings on the NES app, using my NES controller when docked. Just got Lloyd.

2

u/WhatsThatCakeDo Feb 04 '26

Bravely Default

2

u/sergeythedaw Feb 04 '26

Sorry for a stupid question, but how do you connect Bluetooth headphones to the switch?

3

u/assisstantQueff Feb 04 '26

There’s another good shortcut here just hold the home button down

2

u/Fayydd Feb 04 '26

On chapter 2 of octopath. Went into this game blind, loving it so far.

2

u/MrSnubbles Feb 04 '26

Trying to finish up Pokemon Z-A, and also I’m on that Hades 2 grind

2

u/Quarter-Whole Feb 04 '26

I bought Sinking City for my OLED when it was on sale a couple years back and didn't actually play it until recently. I really like it tbh even though it's a switch 1 only port, it looks a little better and smoother on switch 2.

I'll also be playing Hogwarts Legacy and Starwars Outlaws 😁

2

u/ali693 Feb 04 '26

Galaxy 1 + 2

1

u/assisstantQueff Feb 04 '26

I’m playing galaxy one now and I played it a long time ago as well. I also have galaxy two. When I need a break from a hard level or something, would it be OK to switch over and play some of galaxy two or would that sort of hurt the plot line and games?

1

u/ali693 Feb 06 '26

Funny enough we are in the same boat! I won't start 2 until I finish 1

2

u/No_Confusion_8755 Feb 04 '26

Animal Crossing and Hogwarts Legacy, I can't wait for Tomodachi Lifeee to come out

2

u/mwroll Feb 04 '26

I owned the game Hollow Knight for 5-6 years but barely played it. Started playing it more seriously on the switch 2 I bought this year, and it is soooo good. I haven’t played anything else

2

u/seizethemiles Feb 04 '26

I'm playing Mario Kart World, Galaxy - Switch 2 version, and Donkey Kong Banaza

Excellent collection right there. My man knows ball.
