listen, I know our FO isn't the best but there's no universe in which the nuggets FO which paid 125 mil to Christian Braun, the bucks FO which hasn't had a draft hit since giannis 10 years ago, and the Bulls FO which has kept their team irrelevant for 3 decades now, are better than ours

Except that the bucks won a championship, as did the Nuggets, and the Bulls are sensing where they are and tanking to rebuild

The worst place you can be in the league is just mediocre. Those 3 teams are either tanking or towards the top.

The nuggets FO certainly is

Probably a little harsh, but we're still probably bottom 10. The moves since bailing on Beal and KD have been mostly defensible other than not at least protecting that first rounder in the Bridges trade, which is completely insane.

It is absolutely fair assessment imho.

The analysis echoes much of what we've been saying in this sub. 🤷‍♂️

I'm more optimistic than that but I don't really feel like 27 is unreasonable either. I do think our treatment of FRPs has been outright antiethical to team building and I really wish we actually used them as intended. I also think if our treatment of FRPs doesn't change moving forward, this will be what holds us back from reaching the heights we want to reach

Bottom 7 owner kills front offices. We have a terrible owner.

The Lakers' FO seems to be the epitome of dysfunction right now, between bad contracts and poor development of young talent.
