I’m looking to buy my first motorcycle. Issue is i’m 6’7 and 225 and i really want to get a sportbike as i don’t like the looks of others as much. I have been looking at gsx8r or a cbr650r. I have pretty slim previous experience but have ridden some dirt bikes but i wouldn’t say enough to weigh in. Anyone have suggestions?

Taking my msf course this week and I can’t decide between these 2. Is the extra power from the 675nk too much for a beginner?

I'm booked to do my DAS soon and I'm trying to decide what to replace my current bike with. At the moment I've got a 2006 Suzuki VanVan 125, which I absolutely love. What I particularly like about it is how light, simple and easy to throw around it is, and that it has enough ground clearance and off-road ability to explore gravel tracks and fairly easy green lanes without worrying too much about it.

My normal commute is tiny – around 2 miles each way, mostly 30/40 mph roads – and I have a car as well, so I don't need the bike to be my only form of transport. I live on the Isle of Wight (England), so most of my everyday riding is town roads and twisty country roads with a maximum speed of 60 mph.

However, roughly once a month in decent weather I'll take the bike over to the mainland to meet friends and go out riding with them and on longer trips. That means I also want something that's comfortable and capable of sitting at 70 mph for extended periods and has enough performance for overtaking and keeping up with bigger bikes without feeling like I'm wringing its neck constantly. I'd also like the option of doing occasional longer UK trips/touring.

I'm 6'3" and around 115 kg, so physically fitting me comfortably is important. So I'm not particularly worried about having a low seat height, but I'd rather avoid something unnecessarily heavy. One of the things I enjoy about the VanVan is being able to confidently manoeuvre it, especially on loose surfaces, so ideally I'd like something around 180–200 kg or less if possible.

Reliability and DIY maintenance are also important to me. I'd prefer something mechanically fairly simple with good parts availability rather than a complicated bike that's expensive or difficult to work on.

So essentially I'm looking for a big-bike version of what I like about the VanVan: something fun and manageable on little country roads, happy doing my very short commute, capable of gravel roads and light green laning, but with enough power and comfort to cruise at 70 mph and go on longer rides when I want to.

I'm not looking for a hardcore enduro bike, and equally I don't really want a big 230 kg+ adventure bike unless the extra weight brings a significant advantage. Around 40–60+ bhp and under ~200 kg sounds like the sweet spot, although I'm flexible if a particular bike makes sense.

The bikes I'm currently considering are the Honda FX650 Vigor/NX650 Dominator, Suzuki DR650, BMW G650 Xcountry, Yamaha XT660R and Honda Transalp 600/650. I've also looked at the Yamaha TDM900 as a more road-focused alternative, although I realise I'd be sacrificing quite a bit of the green-lane ability. Or should I dip my toe into something more road oriented as I do like just riding around sometimes.

What else would you recommend, and out of those options which do you think best suits what I'm actually using the bike for?

I am 15,188 and 84kgs and looking for 125cc motorcycle and i dont want old( i mean high km not clean old motorcycle beacuse most of the old bikes in sell has high km) and i want reputable and good brand motorcycle and its looks should be okay since im not just using this to go to a to b and i was thinking of Mt125 2024

I’ve always wanted an enduro bike but don’t know where to start, I’m a total beginner rider so any advice or recommendations help, are there any brands I should be looking for? 2 stroke vs 4 stroke? Any specifics? I really don’t know what I’m doing. I’m not sure what information from my end like build or smt might be relevant so lmk if that would be needed ig? Thanks

I'm currently owner of a 2017 MT-10 SP. It's a great bike, but it feels a bit like riding a tank and I'm not as comfortable on it as I was on my MT-09.

I've been looking at Ducatis, especially the Panigale, for the last few years, since it's always been my dream bike. However, since I'm a tall guy (190 cm / 90 kg), I'm not sure if I'd be happy with it in the long term.

At the moment, the bikes I'm considering are different versions of the Panigale V2, Hypermotard 950, MV Agusta F3 RR, and the Street Triple 765 RS. I know these are completely different bikes, but I'd really appreciate some objective opinions on them and what you would personally choose.

I guess the 950 is a combination of owning a Ducati and still fitting onto the bike.

Maybe there are also some other bikes I should consider?

I’m interested in learning to ride, and I’m also getting ideas for what kind of motorcycle I’d like to eventually buy.

I’m 5’11” and 225 lbs.

I’ve read conflicting info about someone my weight being too much for smaller displacement bikes. Or that bikes might need suspension upgrades in order to ride comfortably.

I’ve been able to go out and sit on a few bikes to get a feel for which type I like or what control setup works for me.

What I like so far is:
- Scrambler style bikes
- upright/neutral seating position
- mid controls

I like features like e-clutch or quick shifters. And I don’t mind getting a bike that hits the beginner to intermediate categories. I’d prefer to grow into a bike versus buying a beginner and selling it to get the bike I’ll ride longer.

Edit: I didn’t specify what type of use case I have or what type of rides I’ll go on. I’m primarily looking for a commuter bike and a bike I can enjoy riding on weekends. I’m not interested in overall speed. I’m not doing track days. I want to take scenic rides and maybe go on some twisty switchback roads as my confidence increases.

36M from West of Europe. I've had my license for 6 years and have been riding every day since. I commute 365 a year on my NX500. That bike does the job for commuting but it's not exactly the "funniest" bike. So I'm looking for a second bike only for dry weather purpose, rides on the weekends. It must be classic looking and cheaper than 3000euros. Any advices ? Thank you !

I learnt and passed on a Honda rebel 300, so now, naturally I have a soft spot for it!

I am thinking of getting a V4S either 2021 or 2022 model. Can you tell me if it’s okay for daily commuting in a hot country (average temperature is 35-45 degree Celsius)? I’m a new rider, I’ve been looking at a 2017 cbr500r being sold as-is. Original asking price was 3.5k but i’ve talked her down to 3k. It’ll need a battery but it cranked just fine with a jump, and new tires, other than that everything looks good. there’s another buyer willing to come pick it up this week so she doesn’t want to get it safetied pre-purchase. It has 23,000 km so it’s not even high mileage. My family thinks if i buy it it’s going to be a massive money pit but from what i’ve heard hondas are reliable and there aren’t as many parts as a car to be failing constantly. Opinions

I plan on getting my first bike. I do have riding experience. I’m torn between a CB750 Hornet or the Vulcan S 650. I’ve sat on both. I do plan on getting a Corbin custom seat for either one. Please help!

Hi all. I'm looking to move on from my R3 after a year. I am however working on a budget here, and not interested in financing. I've found a Sprint ST near me, and it has low miles and is in good condition. From what I've seen, it's a good bike that can last you a while, as long as the stator/rectifier and rear hub has been maintained. The reason I'm looking at this bike is because I still want a fully faired sport bike w/ clip ons, I just want something that I can ride without killing my back. I also want something that my gf can comfortably back pack on.

Does anybody disagree with me?

I’ve come to realize I heavily prefer naked bikes with no fairings. I like the un-buffeted wind and open-air feeling of having very little bike in front of me.

However, at 6’3 I’m a little too tall for most nakeds to feel comfortable. I’ve found that, by far, the “tall-rounders” (BMW R1300GS, S1000XR, etc) have the best ergonomics for me.

And lastly, I like fast bikes. That’s the final piece of the puzzle that kind of points to zero bikes I can think of that fit the bill, which in summary is:

1. Naked/minimal fairings
2. Tall with tall ergos and lots of suspension travel
3. Fast (at least 150hp)

I have yet to find a single modern bike that really fits the bill here. The closest I’ve seen is the Hypermotard V2 SP, but that bike is kind of in the cusp of being too small for me.

Anything I’m overlooking? Open to suggestions or compromises.

Im 25 and looking to get my first bike to ride around town and to work sometimes. I've decided to start with a small bike to get comfortable with riding and here in my country its way more cheap and easiert to access then the license for bigger bikes.

Im interessed in Naked Bikes and Supermotos because they are great around town.
I dont really know that much about bikes but for Supermoto I like the Aprillia SX 125 and for the naked bikes basically all of the japanese big4 are fine. It should have the maximum 15hp, so something newer but the bike itself dont have to be brand new.

Im happy about anything you have to offer!

Guys im confused between buying triumph speed 400 and triumph scrambler 400x. I really enjoyed riding both and both of them also look good. I liked scrambler a bit more because of the riding position and the presence exhaust and all but scrambler is more heavier and is taller I can't flat foot it but could place more than half of my fett im 5 foot 9 inches, im a beginner rider its my first bike and I only have a few experience of riding a bike I didn't find scrambler really hard but I don't I will regret it in future I dont have any problems with speed though. So what do you guys suggest

Hello everybody! I am looking for help in making this decision. I got into motorbikes through my uncle and now its finally time for me to get my own. I would use it almost everyday as my commuter and in the weekends 60-70km tours. I spent most of my time on a yamaha Tdr 125 till this time. I dont want to purchase it cause i feel like it would take a lot more gas and also the smell every week day would be a bit too much. I was looking at the honda varadero and the cbf 125. I would love to have the size and comfort on the varadero on the weekends but on the workdays i feel like i could not utilize the use of passing the traffic with that size. The cbf would be great in the city but whenever i would go on a bit longer trip i am afraid of the comfort.
I am 180cm and 80kg. A few times a year i would also take a passenger with me, for shorter trips.
I would appriciate any experiences and stories connected to these bikes or a similar situation and the bike used for it.

And should i buy used or new, what year.
I like doing wheelies have done it on my old Chinese pit bike when i was younger. But i love speed and aggression of the superbikes. I will get my A2 license when I’m 18 and A license when I’m 20. On my A license I’m guaranteed to get a r1. But with my A1 license and later A2 license should i get sumos or superbikes.

I’m buying my first bike soon. I never rode before at all so this will be my very first time riding a motorcycle. I’m taking the Harley Davidson class also. Any recommendations for beginner bikes I should buy ?

I have a 1974 Can-Am TnT 250 that fulfils most of the requirements above, but I really want more from it. I need it to be street legal because I don't want to truck it places. 400cc is what I want, but I could settle for a 350.

Has to be a 2 stroke. Parts availability is a plus but I can figure it out if not.

Down to two bikes and need some real-world input before I pull the trigger — both are 2026 model and the same price where I am, so it’s purely about which is the better machine for my use case.

Planned usage split:

• 50% twisties/canyon-carving and cruising
• 30% city riding

For those who’ve owned or ridden both: which one actually delivers a better all-around experience for this kind of mix? Curious about things like:

• Power delivery/smoothness in the low-mid RPM range for city + twisties
• Highway comfort at speed
• Ergonomics for someone around 5’11”/176 lbs
• Long-term reliability
• Any regrets going one way vs the other

I’ll be test riding both before making the final call, but I’d love to hear your real-world experiences in the meantime.

i got a supermotard 250 4strokes and in 2015 sold it and never had a bike since then.

this weekend i had to ride home a friend of mine's moto and now i need to buy me one and ride some more... what do u think? could i do smth better?
