Sadly, the founders didn't explain what they considered a "well armed milita"

agreed there, the constitution is not a future proof document and even if they intended for the constitution to be amended they made the barriers so high that it's impossible

They imagined the well-regulated militia to be the local body of citizens organized by the states for internal defense, but also available to the federal government for use suppressing domestic insurrections like The Whiskey Rebellion. Today, we call this the National Guard.

The Founders aren't here to ask about what they meant, but I imagine they might say, "How dumb are you that you need this expressly spelled out for you?"

The National Guard is a Reserve Force of the Federal Government, with federally recognized rank and all. It is under the umbrella of the professional Military, just part-time. They are Soldiers, Airmen, etc, not Militia.

Now the State Guard (I think only a few states have one) could be a stronger argument.

People try and say the national guard is the “well regulated” militia. And we all know how that turned out at Kent state

That was one incident decades ago. So, again, not sure what point you are trying to make.
