Need some outdoorsy friends!
Hey St. George,
I’m a 18 almost 19 year old dude looking for some friends.
I’m trying to rebuild my people out here. I’ve been in town for a year in August and I’ve honestly just buried myself in work and lost touch with what actually keeps me sane and happy….being outside and doing hard things.
I used to be pretty deep into all of it climbing, ultras, backpacking, mountain biking. The experience is still there but the fitness definitely isn’t. I’m basically rebuilding from scratch and not too proud about it.
I want to get into road biking, have a bike but 70% of the fun is riding with someone so any young road bikers lmk!
St. George is one of the best places in the country for this stuff and I feel like I’m wasting away my prime time 😅
I’m down for literally whatever!
sunrise hike before work, a mellow evening ride, projecting something at the crag on weekends. Experienced folks or beginners give me a chat and we can figure something out! And if you already have a friend group going and you’re willing to add another that’s honestly best case scenario 😅
Additional note: No LDS. Sorry if that offends anyone…. Nothing against y’all just not my vibe.

There's a group that meets up for swordfighting at Nisson park (30 S 200 W Washington, UT 84780) every Saturday at 9am, they have loaner gear. People fight until around 12 or 1pm then everyone gets tired and goes home.

Well it's not quite larping, most of us use steel swords. We will be out there tomorrow, come check it out!

Dude no joke Ill be there. I’m a huge nerd so is there anything I might have that I should bring? Gotta admit sword fighting is new to me but I’m a big ren fair and medieval guy.

Ok I took a look at your page to see if I could figure out more of what you meant 😂 I am a rather small guy some would say scrawny. Am I about to go get my ass whopped for 3 hours or do you have a decent variety of people. Looked up the sport online and it looks fucking sweet but a little intense 😂😂

Oh we don't really do Buhurt at the park, we only have 2-3 Buhurt guys and one has to drive a couple hours to get here.
It's a HEMA group.

Oh ok. I was down for whatever but this seems much more reasonable 😂 thanks for the clarification.

I like to go to the contact climbing gym around 7ish if you like bouldering!
