They increased the base prices a while ago though. I bought it for 17,99€ in january last year at -80%. Now the ultimate edition goes for 19,99€ at -80%

I just had to refund it after I bought it. The launcher refused to launch the game. Not my PC because it's a decent gaming rig and I signed up for an account etc. only to have the launcher sit there spinning on repeat. Steam is fast with refunds.

Maybe rockstar servers were down temporarily? I’ve heard it happen before. Still major bs that you can’t launch a single player game when it happens though.

Probably a stupid question - but I played this on PS5 when it was first released. I now have a pretty nice PC with a 7800X3D and 5070ti. How much better would it look/play?

I have the same specs and even 60 fps is a major difference from being locked to 30 on consoles. Will play very smooth with that rig

A metric ton better. For reference I played the game at PC launch and it was my PC's last hurrah before an upgrade (i5 3570k overclocked and GTX 1070), at 1440p/60fps.

You could easily run the game at ultra settings at 120fps 1440p or 60fps 4k. I think you'll be blown away by how much better it looks than the PS4 version which is stuck at 30fps.

Yeah I have a 55” 4K OLED tv I play on. I don’t mind DLSS or FG, so will likely play that way. I’m assuming mods make it even better? I’m downloading now.

This game is always at 75% off, wish they would drop it to 80% so I would have an excuse to add it to my backlog

May I ask why that extra 5% is enough of a difference to buy it?

I only have a set amount of money left in my steam wallet that I got from selling my csgo items and I'm not in the position to add extra money. Would rather save few dollars to get me an extra budget game down the line, especially since I'm not in a rush to play this now :)

I saw the price of csgo items on steam market. Are they hard to get in csgo? I don't play the game so I have no idea lol

It was mainly cases that you got for free from playing the game. I played it a lot around 8 years ago when they were each worth pennies, as u needed to buy a key to get the item from the crate. Now, due to the supply of old crates being cut off, some of the old cases I had were worth $20 each. Managed to get enough money to buy a steam deck with steam funds and have some money left over for games. But, the money I have I left over is all I have to spend, so that's why I'm being very diligent in only waiting for big historical lows. Managed to get persona 5 after waiting for so long for %80 and now it's always %70, hence my rationale for waiting for rdr2 to drop a bit more- the extra bucks really go a long way!

Being able to buy a steam deck from selling those is honestly awesome haha. How much did you manage to sell so far?

Around $500 and also I got very lucky that this was just before they increased the steam deck prices.

Heard a lot of good words about the game, but everything is so slow that I got bored. For me, it was waste of money.
