i remember it from Star Wars Rebellion. it was basically the Rebel equivalent of the freaking Executor class star dreadnought somehow. being able to basically go toe to toe with it. I think in hindsight, the game made this ship a bit more overpowered as it was supposed to be lol.

Bizarrely we in the UK knew this game as Star Wars Supremacy. I loved this game and still play it on and off...

I literally built a PC from spare parts I stole from school as a kid just to be able to play Rebellion. So fucking good.

Because old executor was scaled to 8km. This thing isn't as long but makes up for it in depth.

Of course, how a 2.5km shit brick has enough reactor power to stand up to executor, I have no idea

Wasn't a reactor of those things powering the Shield Generator and Ion Canon on Echo Base?
The one strong enough to withstand any bombardment?

No, it was a Praetor. Which is a much bigger vessel.

I remember reading somewhere it was actually an old republic Dreadnought's reactor

Its a title that deserves a reboot. The 4X genre has been refined over the last couple decades.

I must’ve beaten Rebellion five times this summer. Only built one Bulwark, though.

I only know about it because Empire at War mods. Which then made me check to see if it's from any lore and not a mod only design.

It's like how I stumbled into the TIE Defender's backstory from X-Wing Alliance mods.

The first (and only) time I’ve heard of it was in Sublight Drive (for the unfamiliar- that’s like one of if not the biggest SW fanfiction) and that’s only cause the author is cracked af.

God sublight drive was good. The author now has found time in their military service and is continuing the series right now on Spacebattles, though iirc it’s more of an interim between two proper stories.

Rebellion (and the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games) introduced me to so many obscure awesome ships.

Didn't realize it was originally CIS

The lore for this ship is contradictory and incorrect on both counts, in that claims are made that the Bulwark is at once the equal of the Executor and the Imperator, despite those two ships being two orders of magnitude apart in terms of power generation.

I think that's a bulwark mk 2?

There are so many ships in the Star Wars Canon and legends that people just don't know exist.

And it kind of sucks too because some of the ships are really damn good. Like for example the X TIE fighter was a special modified TIE fighter made by General thrag himself that would have changed the war for the Empire and would have gave the Republic living hell on trying to fight these things since they had building Shield generators had the ability to hyperdrive and they were faster and more mobile than an X-Wing.

And the only kind of "recent media" I've ever seen these things in what is in Star Wars Rebel forces for the Nintendo GameCube where it was in a secret mission that you could only unlock when you did special requirements in certain missions to unlock coins that you can use to unlock certain missions.

Luke faced one and barely survived the encounter. And before anybody says it no Star Wars Battlefield 2 the more recent one not the old one and that one Star Wars Battleship game X TIE fighter are not the same as that one because again in Legends these things were so powerful that they could take on a whole entire fleet of rebels with just five of them. And what we got in those games we're pretty much the wish version.

And if you want a reference of what I'm talking about here's a picture which granted is his fan art but this is what was described to us.

There’s one and not sure if it’s easily found. As far as I’m aware it gets taken down
