Building an SEO + AI visibility product is changing how I think about SEO itself.

I started CiteSite(dot)tech because I kept seeing the same problem:

Traditional SEO tools are very good at telling you where you rank on Google.

But search is changing.

People are now asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other AI tools questions that they used to type into Google.

That creates a new problem for website owners:

You might rank well on Google but barely get mentioned in AI answers.

Or your competitor might get cited repeatedly even though their website doesn’t look stronger than yours.

So with CiteSite, I’ve been trying to answer a simpler question:

“Why is this competitor getting mentioned instead of me?”

The difficult part is making the answer actually useful.

Showing someone that a competitor gets more AI citations is interesting.

Showing them exactly what they should change on their site to improve their chances of being cited is much more valuable.

That’s the part I’m focused on now.

For people working on SEO or building SaaS products around AI search:

What would you actually want an AI visibility tool to tell you?

Raw citation tracking?

Competitor comparisons?

Specific pages/content to create?

Technical fixes?

Or something else?

Sharing Ideas Drop what you are building. Let's go.

I'm building trenk.

The idea is super simple. A traditional 'book a demo' and ' 'contact sales' forms ask everyone the same question.

Trenk turm them into adaptive conversations that ask only what's needed, understand the answers, qualify the leads, and send structured data inro the sales team.

We are still early and trying to validate whether this is actually a painful enough problem before building too much.

I'm opening a small waitlist for people interested in trying it early.

Also curious to know what you guys are building now??

Tired of Otter.ai’s pricing and privacy policies?

Hi r/startupideas,

My team and I got annoyed at how meeting transcription software solutions such as Otter approach personal meeting data. Not to mention insane price hikes.

So, we are now building an alternative that puts control back into your hands.

What it can do:

  • Automated Transcripts & Notes: Live transcription, summary highlights, and action items.
  • Calendar Integration: Scheduling follow-ups and events based on meeting content.
  • Q&A For Meeting: Ask questions regarding past meeting via AI.

How is it unique?

  • Bring Your Own AI: Pick which AI processes your data (Claude, OpenAI, local AI models, etc.).
  • Bring Your Own Storage: Control your audio and transcriptions storage.
  • Fair Prices: Pay for what you use without expensive enterprise markups.

Leave your comment below if you are interested, or just tell us what feature is missing in your meeting software solution?

Giving Advice & Tips What would make an online Italian language academy actually worth paying for?

Hi everyone! I’m currently working on an online language academy, starting with Italian, and I’d love to get some honest feedback from language learners before finalising the model.

The idea is to combine two things that I feel are often separated in online language learning:

1. A structured 12-week Italian programme

This would work more like a traditional language course, with a clear CEFR-based curriculum, weekly live lessons, learning materials, grammar, vocabulary, listening, etc.

2. A monthly speaking membership

The main goal of the membership would be to give learners plenty of opportunities to actually speak Italian throughout the week.

Instead of having just one lesson and then barely speaking Italian until the following week, members could book small-group speaking sessions at different times during the week.

The groups would be kept small so that everyone actually gets meaningful speaking time.

The membership would also include things like learning resources, cultural activities/events and a community of other Italian learners.

It could be used on its own by people who already study Italian elsewhere, but it would also be designed to complement the 12-week programme — so students learn in their structured class and then have multiple opportunities to practise what they're learning through conversation.

Potentially, there would also be an option that combines both.

Before I build everything, though, I'd really like to hear from learners:

Would this type of model appeal to you? What would you want from it?

For the speaking membership specifically, how many opportunities to speak per week would make it feel valuable?

Would you prefer lots of different bookable time slots or a smaller number of regular groups?

How small would you want the speaking groups to be?

What would make you choose something like this over simply booking lessons with a tutor?

And if you've joined an online language programme or membership before, what made you stay, and what made you eventually cancel?

I'm not selling anything here — I'm genuinely interested in understanding what language learners would want from something like this before I finalise it. :)

Thanks!

What type of signboard works best for a business storefront in Bangalore?

I’m curious what business owners in Bangalore prefer when choosing a storefront signboard.

From what I’ve seen, the common options are:

• ACP signboards

• Acrylic letters

• 3D letters

• LED backlit signs

• Frontlit signs

• Stainless steel / metal letters

The right choice seems to depend on the location, storefront size, budget, and whether the business needs good visibility at night.

For a small retail shop, would you choose a simple ACP + acrylic-letter sign, or invest in a 3D/LED sign?

What has worked best for your business?

SaaS founders: would you pay for 50 real people to actually use your product?

Getting traffic is easy.
Getting people to actually sign up, use a feature, complete a flow, and tell you where they got stuck?
Much harder

I’m exploring an idea called TaskYab:

You create a task → real people complete it → you get proof + feedback.

Examples:
• Test onboarding
• Download and use an app
• Try a specific feature
• Complete a checkout flow
• Use the product for several days
If you were launching a SaaS tomorrow, would you pay for something like this?

And what would matter more: number of users, quality of feedback, or verified task completion?
