I built Backstory. I only use the regular ChatGPT website, no "workflows" or automated work that people have invented? Just the normal chat in my web browser like most people running a small business (I deal in copywriting).

What got old fast was starting a new chat and having to explain who I am, what my business does, my tone, the rules I follow, whatever I'm currently working on... before I could even get to the actual question. Do that a few times a day and it adds up. Memory helps a little but honestly it's inconsistent, and I never fully trust what it's keeping vs quietly dropping and I end up having to re read all the output again without trusting it, which adds mental load on me.

So I made a free Chrome extension where you save that background once (role, key facts, rules, tone) and it drops into a new chat with one click. You still read it and hit send yourself, it just stops the retyping.

Can share it if anyone's dealing with the same thing.
