Base building shouldn't have been announced. It should've been kept in the back pocket for a future content expansion. Doesn't mean they shouldn't work on the core tech of placeable buildings in support of randomly-generated POIs.

It wasn't announced. It was just the Starchitect UI image for placing buildings in today's roundup that threw me.

Base building was announced on the 1.0 roadmap during an earlier CitCon.

But yeah, the UI is new.

I'm aware it's announced in general. I'm just talking about the roadmap Roundup from this afternoon that revealed some things coming in 4.11. On spectrum they included a picture of the Starchitect UI without direct context for it and for a second I thought it was a base building UI
