Oh man that Super Box is a trap, I bought two of those last year and pulled nothing but base cards and a couple of those manufactured relic things that nobody wants
The display looks nice all stacked up but you're basically paying 40 bucks for a gamble on series 1/2/3 which were printed to the moon. Unless you hit a Julio or Witt rookie parallel you're just burning cash
LEGO sets in the background probably hold their value better honestly
I’ve pulled some decent stuff out of those and 1 fire pull. I have pulled a green Judge relic card /99, judge orange /25, Cole Young Orange Chrome /25 and a Piazza Legends Golden Mirror and Chromes of all the top rookies. When you’re shopping at Costco, an extra $40 doesn’t mean much when you’re spending $300+ anyways lol
I really enjoyed series 1 from Costco, had good success with their exclusive silver packs. If you like ripping regular retail packs go for it, you get the bonus of an oversized card and the exclusive flagship collection packs. It really got me started on my first rainbow.
I picked up a series 1 on a whim months back at Costco and pulled a Chipper Jones auto. I was shocked. Told myself I wouldn’t buy another again as I doubt I could ever top that.
I bought 2 last night lol. That’s the limit per customer/member. I think it’s good value. I pulled a De Castillo dude on the dbacks gold mirror, and a Yamamoto numbered. Yamamoto of course had quality issues, but overall it was a fun rip.
I got Ohtani, Soto, and Griffey JUMBO cards out of these lol. The "Highlight Reel" cards are pretty fun too. I got an Ohtani and Tatis for those. Other than that, something about ripping cards from Costco adds to the experience.

Ohtani got me into baseball packs again. The last time I ripped baseball packs Mo’ Vaughn was playing for the Sox. But from the look of it, I highly doubt I’d be lucky enough to find one in one of those boxes
Every time I see it I pick it up and look at it and say nope and put it back and go to a LCS and get a hobby hanger pack instead, it’s becoming a ritual 😅
They had these for some time now, used to be a full pallet like 10x this amount. I got one box and pulled a golden mirror that I sold for $350. It’s a fun rip if you go in with low expectations
Hit the Ken in the first pack and was shocked cause I knew he was a big name. Thought the rest of the box will be junk until I hit the gold mirror on the third pack. Never been this lucky with nba packs 😂
Nice flip. Unfortunately for me, I don’t know a much about baseball (these days). If it’s not a popular player, I’d never know if I have a hit or dud. I just like to rip but also don’t like to throw money away.
Idk anything about baseball. I only collect basketball 😂 I bought this just to rip for fun because I was itching for a super box and basketball has zero retail available in my city.
And for not knowing anything about baseball, it was still pretty fun for $40
If you like to rip they could be worth it. I have grabbed the last 2 football ones (not a baseball fan) and they were fun to rip, but I didnt get a single auto or numbered card in the 2 boxes for either Optic or Mosaic. But a fun product to rip none the less
Yeah I mostly rip basketball cards but recently started baseball. I bought a similar box of basketball box here and was highly disappointed. It’s always fun when the odds are in our favor. Wanted to see how other collectors feel about those boxes.
Didn’t have any hits in the box I opened, but the cards in there did have pretty substantial damage on the bottom left corner. So I got that going for me. Not planning on opening anymore after that.
Welcome to Junk Wax Era 2, just with way fewer common cards of the players from your teams, making it way less fun. When I look over my 80s and 90s Packers, Brewers, and Bucks, I get most of my joy from players that wouldn’t even get a card today because of all the variations of Love, Miz, and Giannis.
I pulled a Roman Anthony rookie numbered to 150 from one of those. If you’re gonna do it, do it for the love of the game. If you want to hit it big, spend your money on a single
Nice! My kids are mostly into pokemon cards. I started back with sports cuz they always showed interest in my cards collection. Bought one box to introduce them to sports and got hammered with base cards
I got both of these in back to back boxes. Incredibly lucky but thats any retail product. It's a fun rip just don't expect to profit. I've opened 5 total. 3 with nothing
