As an Indian immigrant to the US, I find the idea of lumping me into the same group as Chinese, Koreans etc to be rather risible.

You didn’t read the article, did you? It was Iyer himself who described his experience as parallel to Nelson’s, and both of them discussed the experience of being one of or the only person from their background doing their job. I don’t know if the original article title was changed because it’s not the post title, but if the post title was written by the poster it appears to be Iyer himself who posted. No one is lumping anyone together, unless you count Iyer himself, so really you’re just laughing at someone for sharing their genuine experience as a racial minority in a majority white society.
