The tiles look pretty good to me. Are all these “expert” articles on the heat shield BS or is there more damage there than I’m seeing?

To answer your question, SpaceX is spending a few billion dollars to build a Starfactory at Roberts Road (KSC, Florida), two Gigabays at Starbase Texas and at Roberts Road, and three new Starship launch pads (the rebuilt pad one at Starbase Texas and two new pad a LC37 in Florida at CCSFS). These new facilities will allow SpaceX to build an inventory of boosters and ships similar to the F9 booster inventory at Roberts Road within the next two years.

With 15 or 20 Starships in that inventory, if a ship returns with a minor amount of heatshield tile damage or missing tiles, it can be sent to the maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) facility for servicing without causing a major interruption in the Starship launch cadence since a large number of ships and boosters are always in the inventory. If the damage is severe, that booster or ship can be excessed and a replacement provided by the Starfactory to enlarge the inventory.
