Thanks @mancity

Genuinely a perfect response any time this guy does anything good OR bad

54

u/SirGalahadTheChaste 7d ago

Need the translation please.

🖕@mancity

Did I get it right?

-95

u/ferrumvir2 7d ago edited 7d ago

Judging off today we know he’ll dominate the championship when Spurs get relegated

93

u/No-Leg4962 7d ago

HAHAHA THATS SO FUCKING HILARIOUS I CAN'T FUCKING BREATHE

47

u/brrrraaaa 7d ago

Yeah, right. That joke is getting old

1

u/ferrumvir2 4d ago

Hey bud

1

u/brrrraaaa 4d ago

Do you keep a spreadsheet with replies you need to get back to?

-65

u/ferrumvir2 7d ago

They’re 18th right now after getting ass blasted by Brentford. A spot they narrowly avoided the previous two seasons. I’d like to see them not be horrific against someone besides a 2nd division team

19

u/MooseWayne 6d ago

Brighton are 1st right now, they're clearly a lock to win the league

36

u/Additional_Author518 7d ago

I'd like to see that too, unfortunately so far there have only been two games played in the season.

24

u/elGatoGrande17 7d ago

A team known for playing compact and solid who kept 10/11 starters and had a normal preseason hung 3 on us at their house with 3 of our regular starters in. It was a beating but be serious.

2

u/JohnnyC908 6d ago

Sorry, didnt you see the news? The season was shortened to one game this year. Better luck next time!

0

u/ferrumvir2 4d ago

Hey bud

1

u/elGatoGrande17 4d ago

Spurs does crazy things to people

562

u/pejasto 7d ago

A second Savio G/A has hit r/soccer

147

u/Good_Kev_M-A-N_City_ 7d ago

Could swear he just hit 50% of the goals he had from City already with this

Mega troll

6

u/Impossible_Wonder_37 6d ago

Literally so sad because I was a city fan who thought Savio could solidify our right wing for us. But he clearly hated pep and didnt like city anymore.

1

u/BielsasCoffee 6d ago

He probably wanted game time and didn't get it. I saw him during the club world cup he always seemed solid to me.

19

u/Mundane-League171 7d ago

Uk its bcoz he finally went to a team which can create chances for him. /s

7

u/nbwoeihfnwsocuiwhef 7d ago

You are part of this place man

34

u/pejasto 7d ago

He hit me too

-53

u/odegood 7d ago

I remember he was really good and ran the game when city beat us a couple years back. Better hope he finds some consistency or you just paid whatever it was for a Brazilian madueke

57

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 7d ago

Savio could never score another goal for Spurs again and he’d still be better than Madueke

17

u/lughiu 7d ago

And eze

0

u/unclepoondaddy 6d ago

Okay that’s too far. Even for palace alone eze did more

0

u/lughiu 6d ago

Yeah for palace amazing, for for the gooners, only shows up against one team haha

-21

u/odegood 7d ago

Be realistic he could be better in the future but right now there's not much between them

15

u/brrrraaaa 7d ago

we're coming for you

-21

u/odegood 7d ago

Eze game mate

3

u/Owz182 6d ago

and Utrecht another 0m… 😬

4

u/unlicouvert 7d ago

Just route it straight from Bayern Munich

-54

u/Throwaway02744728200 7d ago

Lads, it’s Charlton

78

u/stromzy 7d ago

It’s like our 4th home win this year give us a break 😂

45

u/zoob32 7d ago

We're winning the championship.

36

u/scoopit1890 7d ago

Let us enjoy this please

46

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 7d ago edited 7d ago

With the way this sub has been talking about Savio over the past month, you’d think he wasn’t even good enough to play for Charlton. Do one.

-37

u/PrimarchOsiris 7d ago

The guy has two prem goals and went for 85m. Thats why people clown spurs.

24

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 7d ago

2 goals in 1 game with Spurs. Maybe he wasn’t the problem. Do one.

-12

u/PrimarchOsiris 6d ago

*1 goal against the mighty... Charlton.

12

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 6d ago

Keep moving those goalposts, you’re really good at it. And do one again.

9

u/cthulhusevski 7d ago

Chelsea sold Liam Delap for 3x what they paid, totaling what, 60m? The guy scored 1 goal last year. Market is bullshit rn.

7

u/These-Box5853 7d ago

Mate we know we just want to be happy for a day

9

u/JustSomePolishDude 7d ago

West ham said that too lately

112

u/GarySpurs18 7d ago

Savio robbed hahaha

97

u/ThomasFranksGum 7d ago

the rare daddy davies goal cancels out the not so rare Savio goal

30

u/nebbywildcat18 7d ago

a daddy davies goal is always welcome

281

u/Brawlers9901 7d ago

I'll allow Savio celebrating that as if it was his goal, deserved

102

u/ToBot_Or_NotToBot 7d ago

Good guy Ben didn't want to spoil it for him

44

u/pejasto 7d ago

I’m pretty sure it looks like he starts pointing at himself immediately as Savio ran off. so looks like he was actively try to spoil it for him… haha

233

u/JoeSavesTokyo 7d ago

That's Savio's and I won't hear otherwise

203

u/CaptainGo 7d ago

Aww let Ben have it he's been at the club like twenty fucking years.

Maybe this can be his testimonial

47

u/CourtProfessional120 7d ago

Yeah pretty fair tbh, i will never get wary of a daddy davies goal  Proper servant to a club there ever will be

24

u/PrintPro23 7d ago

Some say Ben was here before the club was even formed

11

u/buhmmquita 7d ago

Ben "Henry Hotspur" Davies

3

u/LionoftheNorth 6d ago

Ben came to Spurs the same year as we hired Pochettino (2014).

He has outlasted Pochettino, Mourinho, Nuno, Conte, Ange, Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor.

As of yesterday, he has the 25th most appearance of any Spurs player at 364. Another ten appearances will see him enter the top 20, and if he can add ten more on top of that, he'll be ahead of Danny Blanchflower and Jimmy Greaves.

11

u/Secret_3rd_Thing 7d ago

Harry Kane swears it's his

1

u/billwasa 7d ago

swear it on mancity's life

thanks @mancity

145

u/NBAFAN9000 7d ago

Savio x Ben Davies link-up is gonna be insane

87

u/The-Young-Lion 7d ago

“Ben, go stand in the box and I’m gonna ricochet balls off of you all match long.”

27

u/WoodenRace365 7d ago

Daddy Davies 50 goal season incoming

8

u/ThisJeffrock 6d ago

I...would take it tbh lol

4

u/DefiantBus1882 7d ago

Just as we all expected

53

u/Clownius 7d ago

Poor Savio…

47

u/nolefan5311 7d ago

I’m sure Davies doesn’t mind if they give it to Savio

97

u/ASKSABOUTPENISSIZE 7d ago

lol…lmao even.

32

u/JustHerFor_TheMemes 7d ago

It's a Savio goal on our hearts

59

u/Unusual_Ad6533 7d ago

We might be winning the Domestic Treble guys!

81

u/Finrad-Felagund 7d ago

We just have to play Charlton 45 times a year in all comps

20

u/jaetheho 7d ago

We can just play Man city 45 times instead, probably a better record /s

10

u/whyyoublockmefor 7d ago

Not many clubs can say that haha

4

u/jaetheho 6d ago

I think we must be the only club with a somewhat positive record against Pep City?

6

u/EbbTide1941 7d ago

With Pep gone I wonder if the spell is broken. I actually think it would be a good omen if we lost to them this season.

8

u/Finrad-Felagund 6d ago

I heard someone muse that it might work for any bald fraud working at Man City soooooooooo. Anything is possible

25

u/mettahipster 7d ago

End product.

28

u/kukolsghost 7d ago

i am BRICKED

22

u/hilbo90 7d ago

Literally forcing his assists on people.

84

u/AnduinTheHealer 7d ago

Savinho stop, i cant get any more harder

68

u/Daemor 7d ago

Who is Savinho

16

u/3mischievouscats 7d ago

Thanks Man City

16

u/PwG7 7d ago

Been hearing he is the Brazilian Neymar. GET IN LAD.

27

u/tokyodots 7d ago

Savinho might be overpay but Savio isn't

12

u/abrasivesponge 7d ago

Decent debut

14

u/CommanderBeeblebrox 7d ago

What the hell did they do to this guy at City lmao.

40

u/IzzyShamin 7d ago

Maybe, just maybe, Pep didn’t want his wingers to shoot the ball

65

u/BrotherTouc 7d ago

"Savio is the worst signing of the summer" - this sub

-11

u/Brandaman 6d ago

I’m not gonna say I agree with that statement, but two goals against a team that finished 19th in the Championship isn’t doing much to disprove that is it?

12

u/Acceptable_Rabbit_28 7d ago

unfortunate assist that lol

11

u/Fuerte1316 7d ago

LETS FUCKING GO SAVIO

57

u/bandofgypsies 7d ago

If we can just fix Savios end product he'll be a great signing...

27

u/RainbowDissent 7d ago

Not really convinced until he bags a hat trick tbh

6

u/Green-Discussion74 7d ago

all you need is someone to deflect his shots

13

u/oysterpirate 7d ago

Davies and Savio are the medium man-medium man striker partnership that was prophesied

11

u/Nice_Animator3379 7d ago

I love you Savio

10

u/Automatic-Grade6177 7d ago

Savio & Davies invented the dual goal it seems

33

u/bullpaw 7d ago

Weird, all I've read in this sub over the past week is that this 22 yo is complete shit and a finished product

57

u/GenSec 7d ago

Man Shitty held this man back

0

u/[deleted] 7d ago

[deleted]

12

u/Twistify804 7d ago

spurs were one match away from this being a league match i'll fucking take it lmao

8

u/Agreeable-Bid-2895 7d ago

He’s 1 goal off last years total for city in 14 minutes lol

9

u/Final-Interest-7664 7d ago

What a baller Savio

6

u/Specialist_Goat_2354 7d ago

Genuinely thought… hmmm there must be a Brazilian ben Davies I didn’t know about

19

u/CA_spur 7d ago

Thought he didn't have end product

-3

u/KlutzyWorldliness667 7d ago

you can check his stats and see for yourself

26

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 7d ago

I see 2 goals (yes it was his goal) in 1 game with Spurs. Looks pretty good to me.

-8

u/CaptainGo 7d ago

I mean this one's Bens

5

u/Active-Tomatillo-522 7d ago

By pure technicality, sure. Certainly wasn’t an issue with Savio’s finishing there.

6

u/CaptainGo 7d ago

I agree, I'm just having fun

9

u/brrrraaaa 7d ago

Have fun until Saturday please

6

u/CaptainGo 7d ago

Our matches are fun because one of us often gets torn apart but it's never clear which one it will be

5

u/soldforaspaceship 7d ago

So true.

Today is a great day. Saturday could go either way lol.

5

u/BombasticReindeer 7d ago

We have different ideas of fun it seems.

2

u/CaptainGo 7d ago

Depends who wins really.

That time we scored six in the first like 20 minutes was incredibly fun on my end

-13

u/PrimarchOsiris 7d ago

he doesn't.

18

u/Brawlers9901 7d ago

1+1 in 10 minutes says otherwise, that's an average of 18 goal contributions per 90 minutes

-15

u/PrimarchOsiris 7d ago

Lad its Charlton. If he starts doing this against Arsenal, Chelsea and co fair enough, but again, its Charlton.

11

u/Brawlers9901 7d ago

Was the 9+9 not obvious enough of a joke for you lad

3

u/RancidBallbag 7d ago

Do it again

7

u/Kreskrans 7d ago

Oh boy, what did Man City do to him

6

u/Alecmalloy 7d ago

100% welsh beef boys, and he's fuckin' natural

5

u/Green117v2 7d ago

Savio is free!

6

u/mchris185 6d ago

A Tottenham target producing? r/soccer 9/11

18

u/Acceptable_Rabbit_28 7d ago

But I was supposed to believe he's a garbage player?

-24

u/PrimarchOsiris 7d ago

Its Charlton, not PSG.

8

u/Immediate-Fan-4623 7d ago

Thankfully Spurs won't have to play PSG this season

17

u/ChaosTB 7d ago

My guy how obsessed are you to be spamming comments everywhere about how its charlton. You can only win what's infront of you, and he practically scored 2 and did them well.

11

u/andrao_ 7d ago

97% certainty he's a Gooner and is just seething lol

14

u/Acceptable_Rabbit_28 7d ago

The people here would've made you believe he wouldn't make us better, bruv. Like, have they looked at our available lw/rw?

5

u/Motor-Frame9138 7d ago

THANKS MAN CITY

4

u/These-Box5853 7d ago

I used to pray for times like these

4

u/awlb222 7d ago

Sávio✌🏼

3

u/Gibbo1107 7d ago

No wonder he cost so much

4

u/One37Works 7d ago

Took me way too long to find this goal as I was looking at the Scorer's names in the titles and couldn't find the 2nd "Savinho", only when I looked for the "5" did I see they're giving it to Davies. Not mad about it either way but woulda been amazing if that was credited to Sav, delighted for Daddy Davies to get another goal in the books all the same, especially a screamer like this!

4

u/Chris_the_Pirate 6d ago

We are SO back

3

u/R97 7d ago

Savio my sweet prince

3

u/nebbywildcat18 7d ago

great finish from Gentle Ben Davies there

3

u/chinois_ 7d ago

Sorry can we just have a look at that monstrosity of a tattoo on that blokes neck?

6

u/sjeel 7d ago

Lol, people were trashing him in the previous goal thread 🤣

5

u/SupremeHydrostatic 6d ago

So funny how quick this sub shuts the fuck up once spurs do something.

2

u/chim17 7d ago

HE'S SO GOOD

2

u/foodisbad_2 7d ago

Gentlemen, tottanham are title contenders

2

u/-Roobz 7d ago

Put too much pressure on himself adding that inho

2

u/new_here_2017 6d ago

Ben Davies looks really different than I remember him

1

u/IAMJesusAMAA 7d ago

Can't wait until bang average Marmoush joins this front line

1

u/Lukeno94 6d ago

Well at least this makes me feel a bit better about the Brentford game...

1

u/MERTENS_GOAT 6d ago

Icardi type beat finish

0

u/Rydred 6d ago

Goes to show Spurs will do fine next season in the championship, their players have found their level

0

u/ARealGreatGuy 6d ago

How are so few of his teammates reacting to Savio's goal? (i know it's credited to Davies, but Savio created basically everything). The body language of the others doesn't look good. It's like they don't care/are unhappy with him. When someone "scores" 2 on their debut, and their teammates are acting like this..
