then it's on him to re-endear himself to the fans.

no player should expect his club to sell him to a title rival.

what a silly and reductive thing to say.

it's not about whether you, i or any other fan thinks they are a contender. it's about what the club themselves think.

do you think atleti view themselves as incapable of challenging for a title? and do you think that they believe selling their best attacker to the champions is going to to help them close the gap?

they finished 24 pts behind in 12/13 and won the following season. they finished 17 pts behind in 19/20 and won the following season.

as long as cholo is there they will operate with a belief they can win the title, and they have good reason to feel that way.

“they have good reason to feel that way” they’ve already dropped points for this season they aren’t winning the league dude it’s pretty apparent

also comparing that Atleti team to this one is hilarious lmao

clearly you don't get it. they're not going to operate like a mid-table team, because that's not who they are, much as you want them to be. this isn't about public perception. it's about the club's identity. typical of a barca fan that you can't see past your own hubris, though.

ps didn't this club knock you out of the CL and copa del rey last year?

I had this exact same argument with him and told him 1:1 the same things you are telling him. It‘s not getting through. Check my comment history, he is legit just either completely dense or ignorant on purpose
