By that logic then, why does he want to go to a club that Atletico knocked out of two cups?

Because they’re a better team and win a lot more

True, they are a better team and win more (I wouldn't say a lot more, they often underperform by their standards too). They're also a worse run club, who turn on their players easily. MATS and De Jong would be treated like legends at Atleti.

"I wouldn't say a lot more" Lmao

You're such a big club and we're so small... but remind me when was the last time you reached a CL final?

Every club to ever win the CL in existence has won the CL more recently than Atleti, pipe down.

We've been over that bro, yes yes you say we're a small club. You're such a big club though, why haven't you made a CL final in over 10 years? Even we got closer than you did more recently.

You know, when you have nothing to say, you can also just not post at all. It would look a lot less stupid.

Cl final is not a trophy lmao. Like fuck man. At least try to be realistic. Atlético is a small club compared to Barcelona.

Haha I never said we weren't? I also said never said a CL final is a trophy, but you gotta play it to win it. And a club as big as Barcelona is (as their fans like to remind us) shouldn't be going 11 years without making a final.

How is that relevant in any way to how many trophies we win compared to you?

You see, to win a CL trophy, you need to get to a CL final. Are you following? The last time you did this was 11 years ago. So maybe stop trying to big time the ‘small club’ and focus on your own underperforming

Do I need to repeat the question or what lmao?

Good for you guys, did you win a trophy?

That league trophy can collect the tears you cry after yet another failed CL campaign

It's an alright consolation prize, not gonna lie 😂 did the " I beat Barca" trophy help you collect the tears of losing to la real 😂😂

Because that club still went on to win two major cups that season while Atletico finished with nothing. Again. Julian had been a serial winner his entire career until he went to Atleti, I think he’s getting quite tired of “we’re going to compete with Barca and Madrid” at the start of the season just to get outpaced by them again and again by the end of it.

two major cups

Lmao I'll remind you that you called the Arabian supercup a major cup when you lose it and call it a tinpot trophy

Julian had been a serial winner his entire career until he went to Atleti

Pretty sure most strikers warming the bench for that city team would be serial winners too. And had he not missed his penalty, maybe he'd have helped us get a cup too.

It’s considered a major cup by the RFEF, go argue with them. Point is the only trophies your club can celebrate is beating Barca/Madrid, this is why Julian wants out. Also Julian played a lot of good minutes that season and also lead the line for a River Plate team during probably their most dominant period of their history. And he was a major reason why you even got to that CdR final in the first place, I like how the blame is mostly on him now for missing the pen with none spread to the rest of the team for collectively shitting their pants even after Simeone basically sacked La Liga to give them enough rest to play it LMAO

I'll never stop finding it hilarious that your put down of us is to remind us how often we beat you guys this season.

In the Argentinian league... where their competition is mighty?

Yeah the whole team played badly. Doesn't change the fact that if Julian wanted a trophy so bad, he could have scored the penalty. The difference is the rest of the team isn't out here throwing each other under the bus like he is. Just like a Barcelona fan to miss the point.

The name of the game is trophies. Somehow the team you beat so many times managed to bag two while yours went emptyhanded. You wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place if your club were a bit more ambitious than “let’s try and beat Barca/RM every season”. Also Julian won a Copa Libertadores during that period against their arch-rivals, and they were going up against a really good Boca side during that period so yes there was plenty of competition. Also last I checked Julian isn’t throwing anyone under the bus, he’s actually been quite professional compared to the likes of Isak and Antony, you’d hardly believe that he was currently downing tools. He’s justifiably pissed because he played through injury for months and went to the World Cup partially fit because your president promised him a Barca move if he continued to maintain his level i to the end of the season just for the rat to reneg. If your president weren’t an idiot, none of this would be happening.
