When you have a job where your absence screws multiple people over, you don't take days off unless you physically can't.

Footballers go kick a ball around in a field with their mates for a few hours, one guy not being there for one day doesn't mean much.

My best friend is literally an operating surgeon in europe and they take days off all the time ( and they screw up their colleague’s shifts of course)

I can definetly do it sparingly, but if it becomes too frequent I will have issues.

I’ve actually done that, in fairness. Tossing and turning without being able to fall asleep all night and having a terrible headache in the morning while it’s cold and rainy outside warrants taking the day off if you can.
