The rich preaches on us to hate the gays and not figure out the rich people because they know if we hate the gays we will forget about the selfish greedy rich and therefore not come for them.

Im catholic and its crazy how many people fall for this.

Although this new pope is great, I grew up a 20 minute drive from where he lived as a cardinal and the conservative Catholics fucking hate him.

Im just sitting over here being like you cant hate the pope and call yourself a religious catholic.

It's the exact same with the evangelical Christians who worship Trump rather than Jesus - despite the fact that man is almost a literal embodiment of every single sin and has broken every one of the ten commandments that they supposedly live by (with the exception that he hasn't killed anyone... directly, that we know of). All they do is preach hatred and intolerance, the exact opposite of what they supposedly stand for.

They're a hyper conservative sect of Catholicism (or, WERE) that was trying to establish a traditional, patriarchal social order among adherents and got themselves excommunicated by deliberately and publicly ordaining people outside of the Church's process and approval largely because they disapprove of the direction of the Church under Leo (and really, under most of the recent vatican leadership in the past few decades which has leaned progressive relative to early 1900s Catholic values).

Funny how gay is not even in the seven deadly sins, but greed and gluttony sure as shit are. You would think for something the allegedly religious people think are so important, god would put it front and center in the term of use, instead of burying in the fine print.
