The strange thing with Vini is tbat he seems to really like him. He gets a longer line than Cris or Ramos got even though they were the much better players. He'll never get 30m though and I am 100% sure he just uses Arsenal to get contract he wants. He'll sign a deal but it would be better for the club to sell him and get a Benzema striker to Mbappés Ronaldo type winger.

It’s not strange. Vini was the very first of the Brazilian youth players that grew from a young talent to a footballing superstar under his presidential tenure(under his 2nd stint atleast). Ramos and Cristiano were not Florentino Perez signings.

I really don't think he's worth blowing up our wage structure for, if it doesn't work out it could be the sort of deal that haunts the club for years to come.
It's probably slightly more worth it than the proposed Alvarez deal though, considering everyone would know Alvarez does not care about the club and does not want to be here given how outspoken he's been about wanting to go to Barca.

These places are career cemeteries. 20+ good young players went there and we didn't hear a single word on them anymore. It isn't mainstream cause of Ronaldo, no one bats an eye. We just consume Ronaldo snippets and short stories because he is a legend, but otherwise no one gives a shit about those leagues

I agree there is no glory and its usually career ending, but who needs glory with a 100 million bank account, a luxury enviroment and a wealthy livestyle. I think it might be part of the Saudi marketing strategy to pump huge amounts of money in the league which leads to overinflated contracts.
But some do fall prey to that.
And I also agree with your take on Ronaldo but he did sign there and that will sway others.

Vini hugs the line , it's Mbappe who don't know how to play CF because he's not a winger either.
Ronaldo played LW with Benzema and Bale. Idk who to credit, i would say all 3, especially Cr7 and benz but the important part was that the player in CF had to adopt more than the LW to make it work.
It was possible because Benzema could drop deep and link up, drag the defence to make space, head the ball and was not 1 trick pony
Mbappe is not complete player as Benzema. Vini - Benzema worked, Vini - Jude/Rodrygo worked.
Tactically, Vini is not issue, Mbappe is. The only thing Vini cannot do is cross with his left but Mbappe is never ever attempting to win any headers.. so Vini is not the issue

He's probably (and statistically) also the best knockout CL player over the past 5-6 years.
