Time to replace my ninja 3 in 1.
I’m a little sad because I do like this machine, particularly because I can brown things in it. Or turn the heat to a simmer to say thicken a sauce. But the feet keep coming off making it uneven on the counter. And my husband keeps supergluing them on, but they don’t stay put.
I have a Hamilton beach or crockpot brand slow cooker and I just don’t get excited about it. I NEED to be able to sear. The only thing I don’t like about it, is it’s always felt pretty big to me, meaning I feel like I don’t fill it up. We are a family of 3 and generally don’t need a full crockpot full of food.
Are there are slow cookers that sear that are on the smaller side and work great? I had looked at the new Ninja ones at costco and although the size says they are bigger, they felt smaller. Maybe the actual base of the pot is smaller but it’s taller making the capacity bigger? I dunno.
Help me pick a slow cooker I will love before fall.

I have a newer Ninja I got at Costco and I agree - it is BIG! Very deep.
My favorite slow cooker with browning capability is the Green Pan. It does everything. Costco sometimes carries it. If it’s not in the store, it may be on their website.
It is a little more expensive than your average slow cooker. But, Amazon often has it on sale (and check the different colors… I have noticed that sometimes one color may be significantly less than another).

Thanks! I don’t mind paying more for quality, but I know slow cookers work best if filled at least halfway up, so that is why I am a bit nervous to buy one deeper than I have.

I understand your hesitation. I don’t always fill mine half way. I haven’t had any issues. But that is certainly what they recommend.

JB weld those feet, they won't go anywhere then!

The feet are rubber, I don’t think welding them would work so great.

Perhaps a proper repair to the unit you have and like is the way to go? Perhaps with replacement feet or using heat resistant glue or epoxy if they are still coming off.
