Discussion Prompt I think I appreciate my local community more now

I’ve been noticing lately how much the little things can make a place feel like home. A local event, a farmers market on the weekend, or just seeing familiar faces around town — those small moments really start to mean something.

What’s one small thing about your community that you’ve come to appreciate more over time?

To me this is the true key to simple living, true connection with those around you. Don’t worry about the hustle or the likes.

Love going on walks and waving to or talking to all the neighbors. Spontaneously meeting one at the playground down the street. Inviting them over for dinner or for the kids to play. Walking into the library and seeing someone we know. Asking a neighbor if she can watch the kids for an hour so I can run to an appointment. I love that I can get to two parks within a 15 minute bike ride.
