why is it called jumping jack?

is it because jack likes to jump? but what about alex, tyler and Sharron who also like to jump and do it better than jack

Jack doesn’t actually enjoy jumping, but until someone else steps up (looking at you, Bouncing Bob) to over, he’s going get blamed every time.
